"I thought Logan was the one coming to pick me up?"

(y/n) commented questioningly, as she saw her boyfriend waiting for her outside the airport.

Jodi had insisted on having the girl over for Thanksgiving since she still wasn't on speaking terms with her family, and with the convincing that wasn't really needed from her kids, that also considered (y/n) part of the family, she was more than pleased when her son's girlfriend said yes. She was able to take a break from filming and it was decided Logan would pick her up since Drew was supposedly also busy with his own filming still, but to her surprise, there he stood, waiting for her with the brightest smile and arms more than ready to hold her again.

"He was," he answered, embracing his girlfriend tightly, "but I got home earlier."

(y/n) got on her tiptoes to kiss Drew, who passionately kissed back and released a content sigh, relieved to finally have her back with him. He missed her like crazy, and for more he wanted time to go by slowly so he could enjoy it with her, he also couldn't wait for dinner. It was going to be special, having his family together plus his woman. Everything that Drew needed.

"I fucking missed you." he mumbled, pecking the girl's lips multiple times before hugging her again.

"I missed you too. So damn much." (y/n) kissed his jaw and squeezed his waist, that she hugged with so much need, like she never wanted to let go of him. And she didn't.

"You know, Logan actually got mad when I told him he didn't need to come pick you up."

(y/n) chuckled.

"Why? He misses me that much too?" she joked.

"Yeah, everybody does." his tone was one of slight annoyance, which made (y/n) lean back to look up at him.

"Are you jealous of your family?"

"Yeah." he answered assertively, making sure his jealousy was indeed noticeable. (y/n) laughed, finding it cute how bothered he pretended to be, "Let's get going." and with one last not so quick peck, the boy helped (y/n) with her bags and they drove home.

Arriving at the Starkey household, (y/n) was excitedly greeted by Brooke and Mackayla. Logan followed shortly after, making sure to pay the kind of innocent attention that he knew annoyed his brother. They went inside, the girls shaking their heads at the boy's bickering as they entered the kitchen and (y/n) was greeted again, this time by the delicious smell coming from the oven, the welcoming familiar environment and Drew's mom's open arms, delighted to see the girl. (y/n) hugged Jodi, the two matching wide smiles overwhelmed with joy.

"Thank you so much for inviting me!"

"Of course, sweetie!" Jodi answered, still squeezing the girl, "When Drew told me what was going on I couldn't let you be on your own." she released the embrace and held (y/n) by her arms, "You know you always have a family here, right?"

(y/n) nodded, doing her best to push back the tears threatening to fall. She had always had a tough time with her own family, she grew up with a different meaning to that word, but when she met the Starkeys, that changed, and Jodi was always there to teach her what her own mother failed to do, and for that, she would be forever thankful, even if someday, somehow, she and Drew were no longer together.

After a busy and fun afternoon hanging out with Drew and his siblings, it was finally time for dinner, the table formally decorated inviting everyone to sit down.
