Hi everyone,
So I have recently looked back on this story and realised some issues with it (other than my terrible spelling).
Namely, Yana's suicide.
I believe that suicide should never be the option, the world should change for you, you shouldn't have to die. But Yana did. I wish I had written this differently in the first place and made Yana confront her problems and fight for her right to live in Astrea.
However, I am reluctant to take this story down or edit it because posting this, albeit small, story was a great accomplishment for me and I don't want to change it. However, I am working on an alternative ending to this which I will post separately to show Yana growing and changing the world around her to accept her as it should. It is going to take a while (I am very busy and inspirationally drained) but I'm working on it.
