There's something about Donghyuck. And to Mark, it wasn't the looks or the laughter that made him intrigued in his roommate. Lately, Mark has noticed a dramatic difference in Donghyuck's behavior ever since they moved in. They both lived in the campus dorm along with their friends and each day was a hectic routine that Mark promised he would never give up on. But Donghyuck was making that routine very, very interesting.
Mark used to be roommates with his best friend Johnny, and Donghyuck used to live with his friend Jeno. However, when Mark started hitting it off with Donghyuck, they carefully made the decision to swap their dorms to accommodate their needs. And by needs, that meant Donghyuck's needs. Because Mark of course tried to deny that what his boyfriend of one year was doing to him, worked.
Their relationship had always been relaxed and slow-paced. When they first met, Mark was just barely a freshman at the university as well as Donghyuck, who had signed up for the exact same major of music. Coincidentally, they both found each other in every single class they registered for. Out of all of the students Mark fell for him the most. Donghyuck stood out with his honey skin and wavy, golden brown hair, as well as a very fit body that just made Mark's heart flutter.
Donghyuck was always being a smart ass, giving smug remarks and making their classmates laugh- even the professor. They enjoyed being assigned partners, and when their presentation day would arrive they would make it a fun show with their carefree chemistry. So, by the spring semester, Mark made the first move. Donghyuck being clueless had no idea until Mark had to spell it out for him.
Now, they were both sophomores, adjusting to the new fall semester. Mark's schedule was filled with three core classes and two electives related to his chosen major. As for Donghyuck, he took it a little easier this semester with only one core class and two electives, causing them to be in separate classes this time.
It was 5pm, and Mark sat in his desk on his side of their shared bedroom, trying desperately to get his core class homework out of the way. There was no time to waste, but Donghyuck seemed to have all the time in the world. As Mark was finishing up the last paragraph of a research essay, he heard his boyfriend opening up the bathroom door and the music coming from a cellphone. Donghyuck was loudly humming as it played. It's been six weeks since they moved in and Mark's already had it with the noise. "Ugh, Hyuck. Could you lower that? I need to finish." Mark said, hearing his boyfriend entering the room.
Donghyuck plopped the cellphone on his bed and used a towel to dry his hair, right behind Mark. Donghyuck grinned and pretended that he didn't hear him by turning the other way. Mark spun around and grimaced. "Hyuck!" he called.
"Yes?" Donghyuck answered.
"I said lower it."
The young man finally looked at him. "What's the magic word?"
"Oh come on." Mark hit his lap. But he gave in, too tired to put up a fight right now. "Please?"
"Of course I'll turn it off." Donghyuck smiled and uncovered his wet hair, putting the towel around his shoulders. He took his phone and silenced it. Mark couldn't help but notice how Donghyuck's baggy t-shirt stuck onto his damp chest, leaving an outline too obvious to miss. To prevent himself from staring, Mark just went back to his laptop. "Thank you."
"You're still not done yet?" Donghyuck asked, raising an eyebrow. He bent over to Mark's desk and looked at the screen. "Why don't you take a break? You've been working on that since you came home."
Mark rubbed his temples. "I know. I'm just stuck on this conclusion. I ran out of ideas and used up my notes. If I can just get it done..."
"Or, you can just take a break." Donghyuck spoke with a low tone, and started massaging Mark's shoulders. "You're always so busy and hardworking. Take some time for yourself," he continued. At first, Donghyuck did it with care but seeing how Mark was sitting back on his chair, he made his grip firmer and deeper.
