Dark. It was dark and cold and I was terrified. I had to think.

Where am I?

Who am I?

Memories like a puzzle I had to figure out. A gash in my side was oozing out blood, and I fell over in pain.

While on my knees I felt a sword pierce through my neck. I coughed out blood and fell to the ground.

I was screaming as I shot straight up in my bed.

Next to me was my wife Astrid shaking me.

"Hiccup! Are you all right? You were screaming!" Astrid exclaimed worriedly.

I didn't answer her question, I just frantically reached for my neck.

I breathed a sigh of relief. No sword or blood, just pine tree scratches from yesterday's crash landing.

"Hicc?" Astrid asked again.

"I'm fine Astrid. Just a dream."

She scoffed. "Just a NIGHTMARE. Honestly Hicc, if you think I'm going to let you blow this whole thing over then you're wrong."

I sighed. Astrid Hofferson Haddock had been my wife for a few weeks now. Our wedding was wonderful. Her best maid was surprisingly Ruffnut, though who had grown had not exactly 'grown-UP.'

Toothless was very happy to see me and Astrid together. So was my mother Valka. I knew if my dad was still alive he would be beaming.

But our wedding was over and I can't sneak a thing past Astrid. She already found out I've been having nightmares, so that morning was NOT helping.

"Relax Astrid. I probably just had some bad pie last night." I was lying right through my teeth. She noticed.

"I'm not an idiot Hiccup. Just go downstairs and sit down, I'll make us breakfast." She turned away and walked downstairs.

I didn't listen. I knew she would be angry, but she's my wife, not my mother.

I ran to the window and called for Toothless he ran to the bottom where the window cast a shadow and looked up at me tilting his head like a puppy.

I jumped out the window and landed perfectly and softly on Toothless. He did a small leap in excitement.

"Come on bud, just a quick flight." I whispered to him. Not at all gently he rocketed into the air.

We flew around and did some amazing tricks. I looked at the sun. Oh boy.

We flew down to the front of my house and Toothless (helpfully) bucked me off and I flew into the air and tumbled through the upstairs window.

"Ow." Is complained after I was laying down for a second on. The floor. I got up and ran downstairs. I say at the table and put my hands up onto the table, making it look like I had been sitting idly by for a while the split second Astrid turned to me with a plate in her hand.

She smiled. Obliviously.

That could have been bad...
