Hiccup's POV

I thrashed around in bed. Something was wrong, I felt it. But if I got up, Astrid would wake and ask what was wrong. But I don't have an answer for that.

Then I heard a scream. It woke Astrid up as well, and Toothless who lay in a tight ball by the fireplace.

"What was that?" Astrid exclaimed, looking a tad bit startled. We ran to the window and I heaved the creaky thing open.

Wind blasted through and Astrid's silky white nightgown fluttered daintily around her torso and ankles. We leaned our heads out and gasped at what we saw.

"DRAGON ATTACK!" It was Sven the Seventh. It was true. Wild dragons ran throughout the Berk village lighting houses on fire.

I ran to my closet and pulled on my shirt and hooked up all my gear.

"I'm coming too!" Astrid ran to the stairs as I did the same.

"No Astrid. No fighting. You find all the young ones and the elderly and you take them to the beach. Don't argue." I fixed her with a cold stare so she didn't protest.

"Yes chief." She sighed angrily. I hated when she called me chief, even though I am one. I lifted her chin and gave her a sweet kiss on the lips. "I forgive you." She smiled. "Stay safe!"

I ran out and saw that the Berk dragons were fighting the wild dragons. Toothless followed me and immediately fought a Deadly Nadder that was behind us. Being a Night Fury, he was born a great fighter, so with a swipe of his claw he sent the Nadder flying.

"Snotlout!" I yelled spotting my friend.

"Hiccup, where did these dragons come from!?" I was crestfallen.

"I thought you knew. Look keep fighting them, and stay close to Hookfang. Tell all other Berkians to do the same!" Snotlout nodded, obviously holding a higher respect for me than he used to in our previous years pre-chief.

I heard footsteps behind me, and when I turned around it was just Toothless sending a flimsy little Terrible Terror flying through the sky.

Amongst the battle I snuck around to an alley where I saw who made the footsteps.

Drago's men! They must have been here in revenge for us killing their chief!

I was going to step away, seeing as Toothless was no where to be seen, when I sent a pebble scattering to their feet, grabbing there attention. They turned their heads to me and gave a develish smile.

"I'm screwed." I ran. There were eight of them. But before I could get anyone's attention, one big burly man grabbed my arm and held it tight, picking me up by it.

"Hello dragon master." He snickered and another man covered my mouth. They tossed a brown sack over me and it was dark as they punched the bag and I fell out of consciousness.
