Elves & Half-Elves
Elves
The world of Utopia was originally created for the Elves by their God as a paradise. When the Shadow Mages found their way to Utopia they were completely unprepared for suchh unrelating hatred and violence. After countless centuries of war and enslavement for some elves they have all forgotten their God; lost to the ancient times of happiness and paradise and now worship only Utopia, the sentient essence of the planet.Elves live both on the continent of Lekian and the island of Jadale on Utopia. The continent of Lekian is where the intense war with the Shadow Mages occurred and where the Mages reside in the inhospitable Southern reaches of the continent.
On the island of Jadale there is a small Kingdom of Elves, that ultimately adhere to the rulership of the mainland Elves, but the Shadow Mages knew nothing of the island for centuries and thus they have been spared the constant fear of slavery and war by Mages.
They are of average height; anywhere between 5-5 1/2 feet tall and are slender in build
Elongated, pointed ears
Extremely long-lived. Can live to be over 800 years old and an elf is considered mature at around 150 years old
Elves love the arts in all its various forms to include, dancing, singing, poetry, art & architecture, history and the magical arts
Elves are considered very beautiful by human and even brood standards
Elves can see well in very little light and their hearing is fine tuned and can pick some sounds that humans can't.
Elves are mostly graceful and have their own language but also speak the merchant tongue (a common language created for merchants that travel between the races)
All Elves from the world of Utopia and could only have been brought here by a Brood. There is a Brood Castle still on Utopia that does offer transport to Earth but travelers are heavily screened and anyone brought to Earth from Utopia are lawfully restricted to the Brood Island.
Most elves from Utopia have an intense hatred for humans, considering the Shadow Mages have enslaved their kind on that world. Although many were freed by the Broods. There are some elves that grew up and live outside of the Shadow Mages influence for centuries and would hate humans a little less; all Elves know and hate Shadow Mages.
Elves consider Broods to be more haughty and arrogant than even themselves and while some are grateful to the Broods for liberating their race from the Shadow Mages there are some that also consider them interlopers to Utopia and view them with distrust.
The majority of Elves after years of war with the Mages and loosing a lot of their heritage are incredibly traditionally minded. They do not like or care for Brood technology.
Half-ElvesHalf-Elves can be as tall as a human and range anywhere from 5-6 feet tall
Can live anywhere between 300-400 years old
Half-Elves have pointed ears but aren't as elongated or sharply pointed as an elf's. They can look like Elves or Humans depending on which viewpoint you look at them from. Elves generally dislike them or pity them because they would be the offspring of an Elven slave and Human Shadow Mage relation; except in areas of Utopia where the Shadow Mage influence hadn't extended for many centuries. Yet even there many are wary of them and are polite but curt and terse with them
Half-Elves can see well in very little light and can see just the same as elves
They can speak the Elven language; if they grew up around Elves and also speak the merchant tongue (a common language created for merchants that travel between the races)
Half-Elves are also like elves in grace
Half-Elves would only be on Earth through the transportation of a Brood from utopia through the Brood Castle there and would lawfully be restricted to the Brood Island of Sanura
Half-Elves get along with all races except human Shadow Mages and Brood Hunters. They are less likely to be distrustful of Broods and more like to have been rescued from Shadow Mage slavery by the Broods because of their obvious heritage

UtopiaThe Wondrous, The Compassionate
Goddess of Elves & Half-Elves, Nature, Travel, and Magic
Symbol: A green swirlUtopia was created long ago by Elendir, the God that created all the Elves. He made her as a sentient world as a paradise for his children, the Elves. Though there were those that were jealous of this paradise and sought war upon the Utopia. The humans mages known as Shadow Mages managed to infiltrate Utopia.
War raged between humans and Elves on the main continent and in the end much of Utopia's power was lost, she was a Goddess no more and the Shadow Mages enslaved the Elven people on the main continent of Lekian.
The other isles remained blissfully unaware of these happenings and there are even humans on them that live good, peaceful lives and as a result Utopia blessed them and allowed them to flourish on her world.
When Utopia lost her Goddesshood she disappeared for many years no one, not even Elendir, knew where she had gone to. Only Utopia knows and when asked she replies cryptically, "I was visiting a friend." So it was with great speculation that the other deities wondered when Utopia brought the Broods to the world and said, "I have brought a friend to help out." The other Gods began to notice a good friendship between Utopia and the Brood Queen, some remain convinced that this is the friend of whom she spoke of, and others dismiss it saying that there is no possible way that a Brood could have lived that long.
To even further the flying rumors it was the Brood Queen that set events into motion that led to the ascending of Utopia back to Goddesshood by forming the Bringers of Light and the other two adventuring bands that found the Divine artifacts.
Utopia remains to this day a beacon of hope for the elves, she is the Greater Goddess of Magic and Nature and through her they thrive. Her followers include mostly elves of any class, good human druids or rangers. Also goodly aligned spell casters of any race.
She is often depicted as a green swirl, but when taking on a form she mostly uses an elf with long golden hair and golden skin with green highlights.
