Chapter 1: Why Are You Here?

"So, I heard that there will be a new fighter being added to Smash" Zero Suit Samus exclaimed.

"Really, I wonder who it could be?" Link questioned.

"Hopefully it's someone that is cool and fights well" Pit said in excitement.

"Hello everyone" Sakurai announced. All the fighters in the main hall all turned to see Mr. Sakurai himself. "Here is the newest fighter"

Walking through the door, the newest member was not one that anyone expected. Mario specifically, had his eyebrow raised as high as it could be. Waddling into the main hall on its flappy feet, there stood in a green pipe, showing sharp teeth and coloured red with white dots. It was Piranha Plant.

"What the?" Captain Falcon commented.

"Why is this thing here?" Fox questioned.

"You see, I was very upset with leakers leaking out information on Smash Ultimate" Sakurai explained, "So in return, I gave them a character that no one asked for"

"I see, so this will be the next fighter" Robin exclaimed.

"Anyway, I will get back to work, make sure he feels welcome" Sakurai told everyone.

The rest of the fighters went on with their day, not knowing what is to come next.

The Next Day

Shulk and Robin were casually walking around town as friends would, chatting about their usual stuff. However, out of nowhere, Luigi was walking in front of them all tattered with parts of his clothing slightly shredded.

"What happened to you?" Shulk questioned.

"I went to see Piranha Plant today" Luigi explained, "I accidentally treaded on his flower garden"

"Flower garden?" Robin exclaimed.

"Yeah, he had a flower garden in front of his house, and I stepped on some of them by mistake" Luigi replied.

"So, because of that, you got attacked by him" Shulk confirmed.

"Yes, that's why I look like this" Luigi said walking off.

Curious, Shulk and Robin decided to go check out what had happened. Making their way to the carnivorous plant's house, they found him fixing the garden. After putting the flowers back in to place, he went onto watering them with his pail. Shulk and Robin looked at each other and decided that they will just have to move on.

Later

In the main hall where everyone as eating. People were looking towards Piranha Plant's general direction and were a little disgusted. The way he ate, was both messy and gruesome. Not only was he being fed live fish by a rope lowering into his mouth, fish guts and blood were spewing all over the floor.

"Gross" Marth commented.

"I don't know if I can eat anymore" Roy said, looking at the blood that stained his shoe.

"Well, we'll have to deal with it for now" Ike exclaimed, going back to eating. The other two swordsmen looked at each other before agreeing with him.

A few days later

"So you want the outer walls to be painted green and the roof to be red with white spots?" Jaden asked.

Piranha Plant proceeded to nod frantically.

"Alright, you're the boss" Jaden said, picking up his paintbrushes.

"I will say, that is a strange way of painting a house" Robin commented.

"Yeah, but he's a plant, they just like it colourful" Jaden explained.

"Fair enough" Robin said, walking off.

Jaden got to work in painting the house in Piranha Plant's picture. While he may be a weird pick for the roster, he eventually was accepted by everyone and really enjoyed being a part of Smash Ultimate. Sometimes, you shouldn't really judge a book by its cover.
