I feel as though Madison doesn't understand herself let alone her feelings. Yes, I cannot fault her love for Sirius. It would seem silly to. The thought of loving someone else was a dagger to the throat. Not even Marlene could compare to Sirius Black- it disgusted Madison in some ways. She wished she didn't love a man she hadn't seen in over a decade except in small excerpts of The Daily Prophet.

She kept the articles in hopes that one day she can display them everywhere, red words reading 'LIES' plastered across the black and white. Hopefully one day, Sirius will walk free and she can proudly watch as he proves the world wrong. Even if he doesn't return to her life specifically, as long as he was free she would be happy.

It took a long time for her to resonate with the idea that she had completely lost him. She was at fault for messing with his feelings but she was young, dumb and stupid. She fell head over heels sooner than she should have done, it should have been a slower, gradual fall where she and Sirius could be happy forever more. But no. Life had other plans.

"Professor, what was it like in the Triwizard Tournament?" Seamus Finnigan asked her one lesson which took her by surprise.

Her breathing hitched and she had to turn away to blink away the tears that wanted to spill over Mattei's unfortunate death.

"It was... well, I bit off more than I could chew. It is not something you should enter on a whim. Nothing can fully prepare you for it but I was stupid. I entered in the spur of the moment to try and prove a point. I lost a part of me during it."

"Yeah but you got bag for it?"

"At what cost, Seamus? My best friend was in the tournament too and he died. It's a tournament that if it ever returns I do not wish for any of you to try and enter. It is not worth it. I promise you it is not." She said glancing over at Harry who watched her with beady eyes. He sat up straighter and adjusted his collar.

"But Professor, it won't return will it?"

"I don't know Harry, the Ministry is forever changing and they do plenty of things that the general population do not agree with so they probably will."

Draco Malfoy scoffed, turning to his friends Crabbe and Goyle, rolling his eyes. "So once again we have a professor who thinks they are better than the ministry. How can she sit there and judge those in charge like she means anything to them? She's probably a filthy mudblood!"

"Detention Mr Malfoy, three times a week for the next two weeks and 50 points from Slytherin," Madison quipped, "How dare you utter such derogatory words! I am a pure-blood for your information not that it should matter and I am also entitled to my own views on the government."

"But you're not allowed to put them on your students, are you?"

"I wasn't. I beat around the bush. If you really want to know my views I can enlighten you of them in detention but for now, be quiet otherwise you can leave."

"My father will hear about this!"

"Am I bothered?" Asked Madison raising her eyebrows, "do you really think you ratting me out to your father scares me? News flash, it doesn't. If you can't live your own life without infringing your father's views or reporting every minor inconvenience to him then Draco, sweetheart, you aren't going to go very far. Your mother is a wise, intelligent lady, try taking after her for once."

The students sat astounded at their professor. Harry and Ron shared a look of awe between each other and smirked when they saw Malfoy squirm, muttering profanities under his breath. Professor Parker was like a breath of fresh air in Hogwarts and boy were they glad she taught them.

Word spread amongst the school about Madison's talk with Malfoy and those who didn't like her soon changed their tune. More boys swooned over her and sucked up to her more whilst girls admired her courageousness.

"Too right! If I was her I'd have done the same thing. It's about time that we had a teacher tell him the truth. Even McGonagall doesn't do so. She just gives him detention or takes points away. That's not enough!" Ginny Weasley exclaimed to her friends, "Professor Parker is a badass. She's going to make this year bloody amazing!"

Madison sat at the dining table for dinner, Remus tiredly at her side. He smirked at her resting his chin in the palm of his hand. "Enjoy yourself did you? I'm sure you're going to have a lovely letter from Lucius Malfoy now."

"He can actually suck my dick, Rem, I don't give a flying fuck what that wanker has to say. His son needs taking down a peg or two. Do you see the way he treats Harry? No one treats my godson like that."

Remus snickered but Snape leaned across Flitwick, far from impressed. "Prejudice is wicked, you should know that Parker. If I hear you are treating my students disfavorably again I will have Dumbledore remove you. Bias for the Potter boy will not be brushed under the carpet. I will-"

"Stick your nose into my business? Piss of Severus, we are not children anymore. Malfoy needed to be knocked off of his high horse and someone like you wasn't going to do it, was they? If anyone is being biased it's you. You don't like Harry because he reminds you of James. Go suck a fat schlong and stay out of my business."

Severus sneered at her whilst Remus and Flitwick laughed. Even McGonagall who was sat a few seats down chuckled into her glass of pumpkin juice.

"My oh my, Maddie, you really are on a roll today aren't you?"

"No one talks shit about my godson and gets away with it Remus, I slap the greasy dick so hard his nose will go flying!"
