The day seemed to go by quickly as do all day's off. Franny was fixing herself up for dinner when she heard a knock on the door. She runs over and opens it to be met with the same eyes from earlier in the day. Shaun opens his mouth to speak but nothing comes out.

"What? Does it look bad?" Franny worried that her fashion choice was too much for the dinner they were going too. Shaun finally snaps out of it before answering.

"No...uhh.. I mean you look great, Franny!" He says but the girl in front of him eyed him for any look of deception. It wasn't there but she still had her insecurities. She motions him to come in and he does. Shaun walks over to her couch and takes a seat grabbing the bag of Takis Franny had bought earlier that day.

"Hey!" She yells knowing that Shaun is eating her favorite snack in the entire world.

"Hey I don't complain when you come over and eat all my snacks." He says before popping another stick in his mouth. He smiles at Granny and she just rolls her eyes playfully.

"You're here a little early. I wasn't expecting you for another twenty minutes" The girl mentions when she looks at the time once more.

"I thought I come by a little earlier because the foot traffic can be horrible by my place." Shaun musters up, in reality he came early at the request of Katy. It seems as if Katy had noticed both Franny and Shaun's tension with one another. She practically harassed Shaun to get Franny first and woo her with his charm. However, little did Shaun know that Franny was already interested in him. They both knew that their could be consequences if they decided to take things further and ruin the special friendship they had.

Shaun tried to explain that to Katy but the small girl wasn't taking no for an answer. So there he was, sitting on his best friend's couch trying to find the courage to talk to Franny about his feelings. He had only hoped that once he did, she would feel the same way. Franny walks out of her bedroom once more and finds the man before her in deep thought with his fingers covered in red powder.

"Hey you might want to wash your hands off before you forget about the chili powder on them." Franny taunts and Shaun immediately looks to his left. He gets up making his was over to the kitchen sink and washes them. Franny takes note of his odd behavior and walks over towards him.

"Shaun, are you feeling okay?"

"Yeah, I just feel a little nauseous. Katy and I had a BMW come through the valet today and you know how she get with those cars." Shaun was lying well a little. The car ride with Katy made him a little nauseous but it was worsening now because he can't seem to find the right words to tell you how much he cares for you. And not just as a friend.

"Oh god, please tell me no damage or job loss happened today." Franny laughs while fixing her shoes a little.

"No damage done to the car but a little to my stomach." He says

"Well here, why don't you sit back down and I'll get you some antacids. I think I have some leftover from your birthday party."  Shaun takes a seat back down cursing at himself. He could take an entire team of enemies if he wanted to. He was brave enough to face any evil that came his way. However he was a coward when it came to her. The one person who was always willing to talk about the past. Of course he didn't tell her every detail but only due to fear that it would scare Franny and Katy off.

He was only fourteen when his father had sent him to kill the man who took his mothers life. Everyday he was reminded of that event, he tried to run from it but couldn't completely. Things got easier for home when Franny and Katy came in the picture but it was easier to talk to Franny about their parental traumas. She understood to an extent although he's sure she never murdered anyone. Franny returned with a couple of tums and handed them over to Shaun. He gulps them down and watches Franny move to the other side of the room. She takes a seat on her bean bag and begins to scroll through her phone.

"Franny?" Shaun musters up, she looks at him with curious eyes. "Shaun?" Here it comes again, Shaun could feel the whole world around him stop, his heart racing.

"Have you ever- do you think?" He was really struggling to come up with the right thing to say. Franny looked at him and worried that he was sicker than what he originally led on.

"Are you sure you're feeling okay? You're sweating a lot." She stands once more to grab a cloth but Shaun stands up and grabs her arm gently. It's now or never, he thought.

"I'm not sick, I'm just nervous." She gives him a confused look and he continues. "There's something I need to tell you, and it's something that I've been hiding a while now. You've been my best friend since I came here and at first I thought I saw you as nothing more than a friend. However, this past year I've come to see how much you actually mean to me and how much I truly care about you. I guess to shorten what I'm trying to say is that I really like you Fran. Like as in I want to try and have a relationship with you that's more than a friendship." Shaun felt so much better after his confession but when he looked at his best friend again, it scared him.

Franny was shocked at the sudden confession but it was everything she had wanted. She loved him and he had feelings for her. She couldn't believe that this was real and was wondering when she would wake up from her nap.

"Please say something." Shaun says snapping the girl out of her daze.

"Shaun, I-"

"Look I get it if you don't feel the same way, I just thought you should-" Franny interrupts his ramble by grabbing each side of his face and pulling him in for a kiss. He was shocked at first but then slowly melts into the kiss as well.

"What I was trying to say before you interrupted was of course I would like to try to make our relationship into something more." Franny confesses.

"Thank god." He says pulling me into a hug, we pull back and he leans in once more to steal another kiss. I oblige and slowly pull apart once more. As we began to smile at each other, a flash of light hits our side and we both turned to see who the culprit is.

"OH. MY. GOD! I figured you two would end up together by next week but I didn't think so soon!" Franny and Shaun laugh as they watch their best friend do a happy dance!

"Katy what are you doing here?" Shaun asks.

"Yeah, aren't we supposed to pick you up?" Franny adds on.

"Oh come on, I basically forced Shaun to spit his feelings out to you. You really thought I would miss out on such a special moment." Katy sasses.

"How did you know I would say yes?" Franny asks but she already knew the answer to that, which Katy had to answer.

"Because you've been googly eyeing Shaun for years now!" Franny cheeks heat up as Katy confesses Franny's crush to Shaun.

"How many years?" Shaun teases looking over at his date. Franny rolls her eyes, "don't get cocky now Shaun."

"Alright love birds, we should head out. We don't want to keep Soo and her husband waiting." Katy announces as she walks out the apartment.

Shaun holds his hand out for Franny which she gladly takes and they begin their walk to dinner.
