Just A Matter Of Few Weeks

Karishma pulled the wheelchair out of the train and finally they were standing on the station of their home city, Lucknow.

She took a deep breathe to feel the air of her city. "Chahe kuch bhi ho, hamara ghar hamara ghar hi hota hain" Karishma stated and then looked at Haseena who had already slept because of the medicines and tiredness.

"Maddam, Haseena maddan toh sou gayi" Pushpa ji giggled.

"Kitni lucky haina Haseena maddam, unko Karishma maddam jesi girlfriend mili" Santosh said.

"Aap dekhna Santu ji, apko bhi ek esa hi saathi milega" Cheeta said in his own blushing way.

"Lucky Haseena nahi lucky hum hain jo humein Haseena mili... Jo hamare liye kuch bhi kar jaane ko taiyyar hoti hain" Karishma said looking at Haseena, adoring her.

"Mmhhmmm" Everyone teased and a red hue spread on Karishma's cheeks.

"Chalo ab sab" She said, trying to control her blush.

They booked a taxi and it dropped everyone and last it halted in front of Haseena's bunglow.

Haseena was awake by now. Karishma took the wheelchair out and helped Haseena sit on it.

She was now scared of Ammi's reaction. How would she react when she sees Haseena in this conditon? Will she get furious on Karishma? Several thoughts were clouding her brain. She was just looking at the main door, lost.

"Jaan, aap theek hain? " Haseena suddenly said which brought Karishma out of her world.

"Ha? Haan... Haan hum theek hain" She said as she finally gained some courage and pressed the door bell

A minute later, Ammi opened the door. A smile emerged on her face as she saw Karishma but then she looked down beside her and her expressions changed to worry.

She kneeled down in front of Haseena, "Haseena! Beta, kya hua tujhe? Yeh sab kaise? Kya halat bana rakhi hai apni" She said worried, checking her body.

"Ammi.. Ammi shant ho jaiye" Haseena said.

"Ammi, hum bethke apko sab batate hain" Karishma said.

"Haan jaldi aao" Ammi hurried inside. Karishma pushed the wheelchair inside. Ammi brought two glasses of water and Karishma settled herself on the sofa, Ammi too had a seat in front of her.

"Haseena, ab humein btao ki yeh sab kese hua?" Ammi said worried.

Haseena and Karishma explained everything. And Ammi, at the end had a sigh of relief that Haseena will get well soon.

"Chalo matlab ab sab theek hain" Ammi said.

"Haan Ammi" Karishma said.

"Karishma, aaj apko thane nahi jana?" Haseena asked.

"Nahi, DSP sir ne khud samne se humein ek din ki leave di hain, humne itne bade mujrim ko jo pakada hain" Karishma said.

"Haan Karishma, sahi keh rahi hain aap" Haseena smiled.

"Chalo ab tum khana khalo, bhook lagi hogi na.. Thak kar aaye ho dono" Ammi said.

"Ji Ammi" KarEena said and with that they moved towards the dining table.

Ammi served them the food. Karishma was about to take her first bite when she saw Haseena struggling to even quiver her hand. Karishma helplessly sighed at her stupidity.

"Ab apka ho gaya ho toh... Hum khila de?" Karishma asked, giving her a death glare.

"Nahi Karishma aap humko khilayengi toh khud kab khaengi... Aur vesy bhi hum ab kab tak-" Haseena was saying and Karishna shoved the morsel in her mouth.
