Phil Foden - The date

You had being nervous for this date all day you was so close to cancelling. You liked Phil but the whole footballer thing intimidated you not because of Phil he was amazing but it was everything that came with dating him. All the hate, paps, fake people and yes you was overthinking this it was a date not a wedding proposal. You both had met through Jack Grealish as you was Sasha (Jack's girlfriend) best friend. At first it was just flirty banter but you fell for him - hard. Your not the best at admitting your feelings so you tried to ignore him but it was becoming impossible to avoid him at meals out, parties and what made it more difficult was he was openly honest about his feeling for you - he was falling for you. Now you may question why this was a bad thing and the truth is this was the first time someone that wasn't family gave you love and treat's you right including your ex's. And what scared you was you would fall in love and he would just walk out of your life like most of the men in your life.

"Y/n I think I'm falling for you" Phil whispered as he tucked a piece of hair behind you ear as you cuddled up together in the back of the taxi going home - drunk.

"I'm falling for you too" you smiled lifting your head to meet Phil's eyes

"Then let's do this I want to be with you and you want to be with me"

"It's not that simple Phil" you sighed

"Why can't it if we want it to."

"Because I'm not the girl you deserve and meant to spend the rest of your life with."

"That's rubbish y/n your the girl I'm choosing the girl I want to be with."

"But we can't just go from friends to lovers" you laughed

"Ok what about a date let me show you how much I care about you" Phil said with hope laced in his voice as he brought your head up so your eyes absorbed each others leaving a smile to form on both of yours's lips

"Ok" you smiled giving in to his beautiful smile

"This Saturday 8?"

"Sounds good"

Their was a faint familiar knock at the door as you left your bedroom wearing a blue bodycon dress with black wrap up heels.

"Hey Gorgeous wow you look wow" Phil smiled

"These are for you" Phil said as he handed you the most beautiful bunch of roses

"Thanks these are lovely" you said as you began to blush it creeping up on your face

"Ready to get going my sexy lady" Phil laughed causing you to laugh at this handsome man Infront of you who you could tell was not going to let you go easy

Phil took you to a restaurant overlooking the river below that had lanterns covering the floor of the forest as it lit up making it look out of a story book it looked that magical. The date was going good better than good, you both realised you wasn't just falling you fell in love. He was the one you wanted to spend the rest of your life with because not only did he make you feel loved and safe he made you comfortable enough to be yourself. Phil wanted you, you was the girl he was going to have more kids with the girl he was going to make Mrs Foden.

"Thankyou for tonight I have had an amazing time" you said holding Phil's hand as you strolled beside the river underneath the sunset

"No thankyou, y/n can I ask you something"

"Sure"

"I know you wanted to take this slow but I can't wait any longer I love you and yes it's probably far too early to be saying that" Phil laughed "But I have felt like this for months and y/n I want you only you. so how would you feel about giving me a chance"

"I feel the same I want this too" you smiled. Your lips touched already finding a perfect rhythm as it was a relief for the both of you; you had wanted this for ages and it was real not a dream anymore.

"So does this mean you my girlfriend" Phil smirked

"I guess it does" you blushed

"Good, I'm glad I can finally call you mine."
