Mason Mount- Clingy

It had been a week since Mason had returned home from international break and you was so excited and loved up, you had missed him even more this time as you had a surprise for mason that he was soon going to be a father.

You was cooking dinner in the kitchen while Mason was in his gaming room playing FIFA 22 with some of the Chelsea lads. You had planned on making him a romantic dinner consisting of his favourite dinner and made it all look cute with flowers in the middle of the table and music in the background. Tonight was also the night you was going to tell him you were pregnant; you had a baby's Chelsea shirt, 'baby mount 22' printed on the back as well as a scan photograph wrapped up in tissue in a blue gift bag.

Mason's phone wouldn't stop going of so you went to put it on silent when you noticed the messages incoming

England lads group chat

JLingz- What you all doing this weekend then lads, fancy a party this Saturday to celebrate being qualified

Guy with the best hair - sounds good bro

Rashy- yeah sounds like a plan mate

Mase- Yeah, just us lads tho right?

Deccers- What's up with y/n lol

Mase- She is just being clingy and annoying

Chilly- Bit harsh mate

Pickers- Yeah she has probably just missed you mate we have been gone ages

Mase- I know, I know it was cute at first but now it's just annoying she is always their and never leaves my side and when she does it's not long before she is back. I just feel like I can't breathe or be myself at the moment with her

Stonsey- Sounds like you really do need a break lol come around to mine, Emily won't mind

Mase- yeah maybe

You felt a tear slip down your cheek the more of the messages you read, you knew it was wrong to read them but you just couldn't help it and now you're glad you did. Yeah ok maybe you have been a little much but you was excited he was back and to spill the big news and now you just want to go to bed and cry. You cleared the dinner table that was set up for dinner and put his dinner in the fridge as you just wanted to go out and have some fresh air to clear your mind.

Mason pov-

I went downstairs to let y/n know I was going around to Stonsey's but I couldn't find her, I looked all around the house for her but she was gone. I was confused as she was in the kitchen 20 minutes ago. I tried ringing her phone but it went to voicemail as I noticed her phone on top of the microwave in the kitchen. I began looking around the kitchen for a note or something to say where she left to when I saw a blue giftbag beside the dinner table.

Wait I was going to be a dad!

A smile crept onto my face my heart beating faster as I pulled out the baby scan and a baby shirt that had 'baby mount 22' printed on the back. It was almost like my paternal instincts kicked in instantly as I worried about the safety of y/n and the baby as I didn't know where she was and she had left her phone behind. I was about to ring her best friend to see if she was with her when I heard the front door open.

Nobody pov-

"Hey baby where were you? I was worried about you, you didn't leave a note or anything"

"Oh sorry I just wanted some fresh air" I said walking past him to go to our bedroom

"where you going?"

"To bed I'm tired"

"Yeah I can imagine, you know you being pregnant and all" Mason announced with a smile on his face

"Oh you know?"

"yeah I saw what was in the giftbag sorry for snooping darling" You nodded your head at him failing to return a smile

"What wrong are you worried about it or something, you know I will support you through it all."

"yeah I wouldn't be so sure about that"

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"Well I am becoming to much for you now, so imagine when I need you even more gosh what will you do with yourself. seen as I am already clingy and annoying"

"What are you talking about y/n" Mason said growing irritated at you

"I saw the messages mase" You said giving up as he clearly didn't get the memo

"OH"

"Yeah" you nodded walking away from him

"y/n wait" Mason said running to catch up with you

"Mason don't worry about it, I know I'm being a bit too much at the minute so I will give you some space"

"No I don't want that"

"You sure because on those messages sure seemed like you did"

"They weren't true darling I promise" He waited for your response but you never gave him one

"Look what I said I don't mean, I was in a bad mood and took it out on you."

"You said and I quote she never leaves my side and when she does she is soon back. and that you feel like you can't breathe"

"Baby, I know how this looks but I didn't mean what I said I missed you so much while I was gone, I always do it feels weird and wrong not being with you for such long periods of time. Ask any of the boys I walk around like a sad lost puppy without you" Mase laughed

"Please baby forgive me I love you and we are going to be parents soon" another smile crept onto Mason's face

"Fine just don't be a dick, if you have a problem say it to me instead of a group chat it's not nice to hear it from something else than you"

"I know baby I am genuinely sorry"

"It's ok"

"So I am forgiven" Mason asked with puppy eyes

"Yes" you said laughing at him

"Yay, come on babe we need to go look for baby clothes online" Mason said picking you up to take you to the lounge
