Y/N:
I heard a quiet knock at my door while reading and knew who it was. I quietly got out of bed and slipped my boots on. I jogged to the door and smiled at the sweet little girl smiling at me. Lucy took my hand, her other hand holding a candle, and led me through the hallways.
As we crawled through the dark, I thought I heard a toilet flush, but I shook it off as I saw the bathroom light was off.
When I turned my head back, I noticed we were almost there.
After a few more seconds of walking, Lucy placed her tiny hand on the doorknob of the spare room and pushed it open. We walked up to the wardrobe, Lucy's lips forming a smile.
She looked up at me, and I realized a candle occupied her other hand. I timidly reached my hand out and grabbed the tiny door handle.
As I slowly opened the door, I felt a soft breeze of cool air. I opened it more as the gentle breeze turned into a sudden harsh wind, blowing the flame on Lucy's candle out.
We looked down at her candle, and then our eyes met. Her smile grew wider than before as she began to step into the wardrobe.
My lips parted, my childhood heart longing for her stories to be true. I set my jaw and slipped into the wardrobe, cracking the door open so we didn't get locked in.
Lucy placed her candle on one of the shelves and tugged on my hand with a giggle. I giggled with her as snow and piny leaves brushed my face.
.
We walked out of Mr. Tumnus's house, giggling, "Do you believe me now?" Lucy asked, smirking and raising her eyebrows.
I smiled, "I never had a doubt, love," I answered, giggling again.
As we approached the lampost, I noticed a figure in the distance. I paused, tugging on Lucy as I observed it. Recognizing his robe, I walked faster toward him, "Edmund?"
Edmund whipped around to face me, his face not changing once he saw me.
Lucy looked in the direction my head was facing before quietly giggling, "Edmund?" She questioned before her lips curved in a smile. She jogged ahead of me and up to him, "Oh, Edmund! You got in too! Isn't it wonderful?"
Lucy wrapped her arms around his torso, and I smiled at the pair of siblings. Edmund didn't seem amused, immediately pushing her off him, "Where have you two been?" He asked, surprised I came with her.
"With Mr. Tumnus. He's fine! The White Witch hasn't found out anything about him meeting me," Lucy said enthusiastically, glancing at me with a smile.
Edmund wiped his mouth and looked down, "The White Witch?" He questioned.
Lucy leaned in and lowered her voice, "She calls herself the Queen of Narnia, but she really isn't," She confidently replied, looking at me for approval. I smiled at her, approving of her confidence and correctness.
I looked at Edmund, inspecting him; he was shivering, pale, and zoned out, "Are you all right?" I asked before he looked at me, "You look awful," I elaborated, concerned for him. I put my hand on his shoulder.
"Well, what'd you expect! I mean, it's freezing. How do we get out of here?" He suddenly burst out, borderline rude. He shrugged my hand off, earning him a confused look.
Lucy ducked under us and took Edmund's hand, "Come on. This way," Lucy said before using her other hand to take mine. She gave me an apologetic look as she led us back into the wardrobe.
She led us back into the Pevensies' room, and Edmund and I stood at the door. Lucy flipped the lights and jumped on Peter's bed, shaking him, "Peter, Peter, wake up! Peter, wake up! It's there! It's really there!"
