A month has passed in which Zoro ,Zoe and Kuina trained even harder. Zoe discovered that after awakening her ability to see auras the ability did not disappear. That is, she controlled Zoro's ability almost completely and Kuina they knew it because they noticed her improvement in being around her, but also because she eventually told them that. Zoro could not have been more proud of his sister who managed to control her special ability just as he promised her two years ago. Of course it still made her a bit tired but still it was awesome.

Then came a day when Zoro and Zoe went to practice as usual and so did Kuina . Zoe showed to Kuina some of the training she does to get better. Kuina insisted on training alone so she went to the other side of the island so Zoro would not disturb her or at least that's what she said. Zoe did sit-ups near the tree where Zoro practiced lifting two large stones tied with a rope along with a small dumbbell in his mouth (sorry I have no better way to describe his training).

The fact that always made Zoe laugh was her strange body structure, she looked relatively thin and fragile. Her muscles were never seen and she did not even have cubes in her stomach no matter how much she trained but her muscles could be seen but only if she really strained. It was so both in her original world and in this world. Of course Zoe did not know this at first but people used to tell her this over and over again.

"I have to get stronger! Then I'll be able to hold a lot of swords like it's nothing! If two's is not enough to beat Kuina, then I'll use three!" Zoro declared and Zoe giggled in response saying "I'm sure you can be strong Zoro-Nee. But I don't think the amount of swords you will fight her will change that much." Zoro smiled but also rolled his eyes in response to Zoe's remarks before the two returned to practice. While in the distance other children watched from the dojo. They were scared because of the intense way the two were training, but there was still something strange about them. Zoe could feel a gloomy aura coming out of their three white auras. Zoro raised his head towards the frightened and depressed children and asked "What do you want?" Zoe suddenly remembered what was going to happen there, Kuina died... Kuina died and she could do nothing about it! It would frustrate her so much but from the outside she was still quiet and peaceful though her smile was gone. "Kuina..." One of the kids started saying but he couldn't finish his sentence so another kid continued it and said "Kuina dead...".

Zoro dropped the huge rock weights and spat out the small weight he put in his mouth, while Zoe stopped if her training as well. She sat up and let everything out of her and started crying quietly. She tried to stop but she could not, it was stronger than her. Zoe knew it was going to happen and realized that she did not have much to do on the subject but still ...Kuina was her best friend and also quite the only one of her likes that Zoro is her brother. She also did not really connect with any other child in the dojo because of her blindness. A cold wind blew and there was almost complete silence except for Zoe's crying. Zoro tried to digest the terrible news he had just been told so he could not comment or do anything else for that matter.

The next day was a gloomy and cold day, and the rain fell non-stop and it perfectly described the mood that was there for most people. Zoe stopped crying even though the tear marks left on her tired and sad face could be clearly seen. She held Zoro in his hand and he held her hand tightly for fear where he would leave he would leave her too. Zoe's crow sat on Zoe's shoulder and was also quiet because she understood from the offense that there are moments for which silence is beautiful.

They were walking in a large convoy when some of the people were holding umbrellas but Zoe or Zoro were not one of those people. They just let the rain wash them away in silence and sadness. Zoe heard the adults around her talking but she was too sad to listen and also because she already knew what they were going to say.
