I was standing there hopelessly smelling the scent of the rain falling. I felt at that moment that I REALLY have to do something because I didn't picture Rebecca as a strong and brave person. Well, I know I didn't.
Even if she would be safe or not, I still felt responsible. And the fact that Jen heard our conversation about herself seems to make her much more upset.
I quickly dial another number as I quickly touch each number carefully and insert the coin inside a tiny hole.
"Hello! 911? I need help!!" I scream through the phone jumping in panic hopefully making myself seem desperate.
"Yes. What is the emergency?" an older woman said in a monotonous voice.
"I'd like to report a......" I said until the line was interrupted.
I look around feeling as if there was a mystery behind this. I felt as if I was being stalked.
I slowly take a small and careful step out of the small telephone box onto the road and then started to hear some really low whispers.
I suddenly hear whispers coming from the bush and then the whole bush tremble. At that moment, I heard a phone had been switched off so it made me feel as if there's only one person behind the bush who was whispering on the phone. Or I might have been wrong.
"Whoever is behind that bush making such a huge fuss, get out right away before I come and drag you out here!" I yelled trying to sound brave when in reality I felt a little bit of a coward and petrified.
"You seriously think I'm scared of you, you weird retard?" says a voice which sounded roughly familiar.
"Who the heck are you to tell me I'm the retard here? Can't you see that you are the person behind the bush?" I yell back wisely.
"Actually, think about this. The people passing by are just seeing you have psychological problems." the voice answers back.
"What do you mean?" I ask confused.
"Well, you see who's the idiot? I meant people see you talking to a random bush as if you ARE a retard." says the voice again.
"Get out of that Bush immediately you brat!" I shouted as I tried to drag the person out of the bushes.
"Ouch! Stop it!" she howls in pain.
As I drag the person, I feel her long and thick hair through my fingers which also felt really familiar.
"What the..." I yell instantly.
I saw the person who also had a black mask covering her whole face except her eyes.
"Take that mask off right now!" I commanded her right away.
"I won't. Make me!" she shrieks and then began to sprint trying to get rid of me.
I run in the middle of the street chasing her and then go through big green fields. I could smell the beautiful scent of the flowers blooming.
"Get back here!" I shout while chasing her continuously.
She was already approximately 100 meters in front of me. I nearly collapsed from all the exhaustion.
I instantly fell in the middle of the green fields. I couldn't continue anymore.
15 minutes later, I get up on my feet and try to catch on. I then could observe from far away that the person was actually lying down relaxing. So,
I decided to sneak up on her.
As I approach her, she began to stretch and also yawned. As she looked in my direction, she quickly observed me and got up immediately.
She then ran and after 15 seconds, she tripped into a massive pile of mud making her whole "costume" completely muddy and wet.
"Haha. Finally got you." I declared.
"No you didn't!" she answered back.
"Well! Let me take you stupid mask off already!" I yelled back at her.
"Listen!! This wasn't my idea!" she confessed.
"What do you mean?" I asked worriedly.
"Well..." she said slowly while glancing back at me.
I move towards her and stand next to her looking straight at the floor.
I wrap my hands around her shoulders and then push her with my full strength with her face straight into the mud.
"What the heck was that for?" she yelled back as she slowly got up.
She gets up and then slips, falling back down.
"Great!" she muttered.
"Do you have anything to say before I do something tragic?" I ask her slowly giving her a grin.
"What are you gonna do? Kill me? And if you do, yes I do have something to say. You're an idiot! You've got NO Life!" she yells with plenty of tears in her eyes.
"I won't kill an idiot like you!" I answer back.
I then help her get up and remove her mask quickly but seemed to have gotten stuck due to the mud sticking to the mask.
"Hey! Stop that!" she says in a manly voice!
I search through her pockets to see if she has anything to help me remove the mask. As I search, I reach across plenty of money in an envelope. I take the envelope with the money out and push the girl aside.
The envelope says:
FROM JEN AND CHRIS
"JEN? CHRIS?" I exclaimed. "Are you related or something?"
"Umm no." she answered back.
"How much money is in this?" I ask curiously.
"There is about $10.000." she answers back.
"What? What for?!" I ask her in shock.
She looked at me from top to bottom and began to cry.
I took her mask off slowly and carefully and then stared in her eyes.
"What?!" I jumped in complete suspense. "Are you serious? I would've never guessed!" I ask her with tears in my eyes.
"Also, what did you want to do?" I ask her again.
"I'm so sorry." she says.
"What do you mean? What were you supposed to do?" I ask her continuously feeling confused.
"This!" She exclaims.
She then punches me right in the face leaving me to fall down in the wet mud.
I felt unconscious and began to tell her name again:
"Come Back, VANESSA! Don't leave me here! "
I yell continuously while Vanessa runs all the way back with full speed.
What can happen next?
What do you think was behind all this?
