The next day, Oliver took Dr. Heywood and I into a mini submarine that would take us down to where the Legends ship would be based off the coordinates we've acquired.
"Are you seeing the sonar readings of the sea floor? Either that's a really weird-looking rock formation... or the wreckage of a time ship." Dr. Heywood said as we got close to where the ship is.
Dr. Heywood, Oliver, and I all looked at the ship that was now practically in touching distance. We got to one of the entrances of the ship and made it inside with out flashlights in our hands.
"If the Legends went down with the ship..." Dr. Heywood started.
"Where are the bodies?" Oliver finished.
We walked into a room where lied a body of an older man but not grey or white hair old, upon entering I noticed that this room looked a lot like a medical room, seeing as though I've had my fair share of being hurt bad enough to be in a medical room.
"The ship is keeping him in stasis." I informed.
I walked up to the screen and pressed a button that turned on the power of the room and woke up the man who was in Stasis.
He tried to attack Oliver but with Oliver quick reflexes he dodged the attack and pushed him back into the chair and held him down.
"My name is Oliver Queen and my preference is to not break your arm, so I want you to calm down and tell us what happened to your team."
"You wouldn't believe me even if I told you." He said with a voice of a smoker.
••••••••••••••••
"All I remember is being knocked out by that skinny little Englishman. Very embarrassing." He informed.
"I know that Sara told her father she was leaving to protect history." Oliver said. "Why?"
"Why does history need protecting?" Dr. Heywood questioned.
"Because the idiots who were protecting it— the Time Masters were blown up."
"So you and the Legends took over?" Heywood questioned again.
"Mm." He confirmed. "Chasing down time criminals and fixing the screwed up parts of history they screwed up. Aberrations the captain called them. We were chasing them for about six months without a problem. Well, the occasional problem."
Smoker Voice went on to tell us how he knew they were screwed when they went on certain missions and took on persona's that didn't benefit them. He unintentionally told us his name.
"How'd you go from the court of Louis XIII the the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean?" I questioned.
"You said you wanted to hear the full story." Mick said.
"We do. It's just that some of us have lives that we'd like to get back to." I stated with a smile.
"We got ourselves in trouble by visiting a time we were told not to." Mick said.
"1942?" Heywood questioned.
"Unhuh."
"Who told you not to go to 1942?" Heywood questioned.
"Some guy in a hood named... Rex Tyler. Said if we set foot in 1942 we'd all be screwed, and then he just vanished."
"Okay, If he told you not to go to 1942, then why'd you go?" Oliver questioned.
Mick went on to tell us how a time quake had happened and the origin of the time quake was New York City, 1942 abs how it wasn't possible.
"What wasn't possible?" I questioned immediately, feeling impatient by all the long storytelling. "You said you and the Legends discover the aberration in 1942, what wait it?"
"It involved Nazis?" Oliver rhetorically asked.
"You could say that." Mick stated. "The Krauts nuked New York City in 1942."
Mick Rory told us about how the nuking in New York City involved Albert Einstein being kidnapped prior to it. And how they discovered the true plans and the reason why he was kidnapped. When there were about to capture them the bomb was sent towards New York City and the Captain sent his teammates away but because Rory wouldn't survive he put him in the Medical Room.
"Okay, there's just one question that you haven't answered. Where Captain Hunter?" Oliver asked.
"I don't know." Mick answered. "Must have time-scattered himself like the rest of them. Guess I gotta play hero and find them."
"Do you even think this ship still flies?" Heywood questioned.
"I don't see why not." Mick answered. "Fridge works."
"I don't have time to time travel, but if your team is stuck in history, who better to help find them than a historian and an Amazon." Oliver stated pointing at Nate and I.
"Them two?" Mick questioned.
"Without Dr. Heywood you'd still be in stasis." I mentioned.
"Ah, good point." Mick said. "Library, this way."
"Oliver, wait." I whispered so that only Dr. Heywood and Oliver could hear me. "This was supposed to be a salvage mission."
"Who are you kidding?" Oliver said. "Both of you have been waiting for a chance like this. Donna, you need to do this. Being a crime fighter in Star City isn't doing anything for you."
(One hour later)
I was standing at the what I presumed was the captain's chair, I just stared out into the depths of the ocean until I heard footsteps coming to me. I already knew who it was.
"I did some digging, but I think I finally got a lead on Ray Palmer."
I sat nodded and sat down at the captain's chair and strapped in.
"Are you sure you know how to fly this thing?" Dr. Heywood asked.
"Can't be much harder than the invisible jet." I said as I pressed a button that started up the ship. I began to pilot the ship out of the water.
The piloting was really bumpy but I got the hang of it fairly easily pretty quickly. We shot out of the water and into the air, jumping through time.
