"We have the Amulet, now what?" Dr. Mid Nite asked.

"First priority is making sure Ray and Amaya are alive, and then getting them out of the bunker where the Nazis are holding them." Sara spoke.

"Actually, our first priority is destroying the Baron and whatever serum is making him indestructible." Rex informed.

"Perhaps we could purpose a trade." Dr. Mid Nite suggested. "Their lives for the Amulet."

"Unfortunately, the Amulet's not ours to barter with." Rex stated.

"We need an extraction plan." Donna and Sara said at the same time. The two shared looks at each other.

"We need to eliminate the threat." Rex said, obviously annoyed. "Now, Professor Stein, please, tell us, what is your plan of action?"

Stein stopped walking abruptly and turned to face Rex. "How- how am I supposed to come up with a plan when I can't even hear myself think? Would- would you please all just leave? I need a moment to collect my thoughts."

Everyone left out of the room to let Stein gather his thoughts and best course of action. After a few minutes of training, she walked back into the main lobby and saw Rex sitting there, looking deep in thought with Stein thinking as well but in the room behind them.

"Have you thought of anything yet?" Donna asked.

"If we approach from the southwest, we can destroy the weapons lab and the Baron in one move." Rex explained his ongoing theory.

Donna made a face of unsurity. "Except for the last time we faced him, he took out both of our teams."

"The last time, we weren't being backed by a squadron of B-17s."

Donna sighed. "Then how do we get Ray and Amaya out before the bombs start falling?"

"We don't." Rex revealed.

"No.."

Rex continued without making eye contact with Donna. "This conflict is bigger than any one of us. If it means ending the war one day sooner, Amaya would happily make that sacrifice."

"But she doesn't have to." Donna stated. "Look, i know you and your team think we're a group of irresponsible losers, and quite frankly I'm starting to believe that too but I know of Ray Palmer, and he has a plan to get out of that bunker. He just needs time."

"Which means giving the Nazis time. I'm calling in the strike."

Rex started to walk past Donna but she put her hand out and stopped him, backing him up to where he originally was. "I can't let you do that."

"You don't have the authority." Rex stated confidently.

"No, but I do." Sara said as she walked into the room.

"No-"

"Yes, she does." Stein said loudly. "Miss Lance speaks for all of us. I have watched her become the beating heart and steady hand of this team. She is the proper person to lead us. And if she says that we are going to rescue our people, that is what we are going to do."

Sara and Donna both gave Stein and themselves a smile, Donna noticed from the corner of her eye the sour look that Rex had on his face, she held in her laugh but on the inside she was dying.

After everyone got the plan in motion and agreed on what to do, they all started to move out into the field and rescue their teammates. Donna, Mick and Sara both started to walk through the underground tunnels, as they turned the corner they encountered a group of bad guys.

Donna casually walked yo to one of the guys and punched him out cold, starting the brawl between all of them. One of them tried to shoot at Donna but she deflected the bullet and sent it flying back into his gun, making it explode.

As Sara was knocking out the last of the bad guys, Donna walked over to the Amulet and recognized it as Amaya's.

"Firestorm is drawing the troops away from the bunker."

"Copy that." Sara said as she walked up to Donna. "We still need to find Ray and Amaya."

The three of them started walking again and as soon as they turned the corner there was two guards escorting Ray and Amaya.

One of the guards tried to shoot at Mick but Donna saved him by deflecting the bullet. She slowly walked up to the two as they started to take out the two guards single-handedly.

"I believe this belongs to you." Donna said as she held up the Amulet.

Sara commed in and told everyone that they saved Amaya and Ray but they were informed that the bombs were five minutes away and Krieger is out again.

Donna rushed out of the bunker at mach speeds, she saw Mid-Nite on the ground and asked him which way they went, as soon as he gave her directions, she dashed towards that area.

She ran faster than ever before, she could see commander steel and Nate cheering that they killed Krueger but at the speed she was moving everything was in slow motion, even the bomb that was about to land on them.

She pushed harder to run faster but she was too late, the bomb had already hit them. She cried out for help as she held Nate and Commander Steel in her arms. The time ship landed in front of her and she rushed them into the medical room.

"I think I can save him, with this!" Ray said as he walked into the room.

"Is that the serum the Nazis created?" Stein asked. "Are you mad?"

As Ray started to inject him, he begun explaining. "I did a little tinkering so, with any luck, it'll save his life."

Almost instantly Nate's vitals started to improve, Donna felt herself calm down and her heart rate start to stabilize. She sighed in relief. After some time, everyone left out the room except for Donna and Commander Steel.

The two didn't talk until Nate started to wake up, but Donna sat to the side and let them have their moment but when he left out the room, she started to talk to Nate.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Donna asked as she stood besides him as he lied reclined in the medical chair.

"I had to save him." Nate said. "If I didn't, I wouldn't be here right now."

"And if Ray hadn't saved you, you wouldn't be here right now." Donna retorted.

"I saw you, Donna. You were coming in to save us but you weren't fast enough. If it weren't for me.."

Donna turned her head to the side slightly before turning it back. "When I saw that bomb drop, my heart stopped. I like you, Nate. And it scared me to death when I saw you were hurt."

Nate smiled. "Wow, you really do like me."

Donna smiled, she leaned down and gave him a kiss on the forehead. When she leaned back up, they locked eyes. "I'll tell you all about it when you get better."
