Baji thoroughly explained the accidental murder of Shinichiro Sano, Mikey's older brother, responsible of Kazutora.
Initially, Baji and Kazutora had wanted to steal a bike from a shop, for the purpose of using it as a birthday gift to give for Mikey. Event it went against the ideals of Toman and their beloved friend, they just wanted to make him happy.
Neither of them would learn until the very last minute that the shop had belonged to Shinichiro. Had they knew beforehand, things wouldn't have been the way they are now.
"That was the day we went our separate ways." Baji concludes.
(Y/n) and Takemichi find it difficult to accept this kind of information. Though they do remember Mikey mentioning his late brother once.
"I have a brother who's ten years older than me. He's dead now."
'Mikey-kun mentioned that his brother died.' Takemichi notes internally.
(Y/n)'s eyes narrow. 'So those two were the ones that...'
"I didn't have to go to juvie because Kazutora defended me." Baji inputs. "I've been waiting for Kazutora to go free."
Takemichi's jaw drops. 'Does that mean Baji-kun's always been on Kazutora-kun's side? So why didn't he leave Toman on a whim?' He presses his lips together. 'Then...how the hell am I supposed to drag him back?'
'Now it's safe to assume that neither of us can convince him otherwise...' (Y/n) thought. 'Even if we tried, we'd just make ourselves look stupid.'
"Nice, Baji." Hanma compliments the new member. "If that's the case, you're definitely welcome." He tosses a uniform jacket with the Headless Angel as the logo. "Here--That's Valhalla's jacket." He looks at (Y/n) after he sees Baji putting on the jacket. "As for you, (Y/n)-chan..."
(Y/n) stiffens. 'Crap. So there WAS a reason why he wanted me here.'
"I'd be more than happy to let you join." Hanma's smile stretches outwards. "Matter of fact, I'm actually insisting that you do." He extends his arms out to the side, remaining at the spot he sat on.
"Huh?" Bitterness is heard in (Y/n)'s voice.
"You hate Mikey, don't you?" Hanma questions. "Or, as far as I can see it, you and him are on bad terms right now, are you not?" (Y/n) doesn't confirm it, nor deny it. "All the more reason to join Valhalla and beat him up yourself!"
Takemichi blinks, his eyes now on (Y/n). 'It's already bad enough that Baji-kun joined--' He gulps thickly. 'But if (Y/n) joins, too...it'd be the worst case scenario!'
"You're always hearing about how similar you are to Mikey--" Hanma remarks. "--And that's because he's clung onto for the past few months, like a lost puppy." He snickers. "You sure have it rough, (Y/n)-chan; So much comparison." He cocks his head to the side. "Why not say otherwise already? You have the strength. Followed by the intelligence. A perfect fit for Valhalla."
"At this point, it's already too late to back out from the delinquent community. A good amount of people among this country already know who you are. It's not like you make an effort to say low in the radar--So, whether or not you join Valhalla, there'll be a tons of bastards that are bound to come after you, harming you for their own personal benefit." His eyes narrow. "Along with your precious grandparents and brother."
"So, if I were you, I'd take a good moment to think about it."
(Y/n) remains quiet, her eyes locked with Hanma in a tense silence that whelms the room. She ignores the fact that everyone was looking at her.
