By the morning, Loki searched the garden, seeing as he wanted to talk with Minerva again. When he didn't see her, he moved onto the forest next, only to see her resting in one of the trees. However, seeing as she was asleep, he thought about leaving her alone. Instead, he stayed there by her side.

Something was different about him. Usually, Loki would prank someone like his brother and call it a night, seeing as he was soon going to be the god of mischief. Hearing the child stir in her sleep, she looked around before seeing the boy on the opposite branch. "I never took you as one to sleep in a tree."

"That's because I don't sleep in trees. I sleep at home. I just had to get out," she answered as she adjusted her wings comfortably behind her. "My mom and a friend had some sort of argument yesterday, and I didn't feel great being there."

"Then why don't you come to the castle with me? My mom's been wanting to meet you again," he sounded overjoyed at his suggestion, and though Minerva's mother told her not to, there couldn't have been harm in meeting Loki's family. After all, they were friends, soon-to-be best friends.

"If you can promise your brother will say nothing about how I look, then I will go with you," it sounded simple enough between the children, and knowing it meant she could get used to the royal family, some part of her mind told her not to go. Yet still, with the events that took place last night, she needed some time to think.

"I promise," he said happily before jumping down the tree and landing on his feet. When she did the same, he reached her hand out to her. Still hesitant to take it, Loki noticed her actions. "We've been friends for months now. Can I please show you around the castle?" As she took his hand, both children made their way to the front gates.

As they walked through the doors, the first thing she noticed was the throne. "This is the throne room where my father sits. Usually, my mother is there with him, but for some reason, neither of them is here right now." He sounded sad that he couldn't formally introduce her to the rest of his family, but continued on anyway.

"It's alright, but keep showing me around," she shrugged before he led her to the next room. Seeing as the library was a rather large place, she gaped at the shelves. "Have you read all of these? By yourself?"

"Not exactly, but my mother reads to me a lot. There's something I want to show you in here." as he walked toward the back, there was an abnormally large stack of books. Moving some of them out of the way, Loki went in first and Minerva followed.

However, through the tunnel he made, there were stones meticulously placed like a pathway. Once they got to the end, he pulled the dangling string, turning on a lamp in the middle of the room. "Welcome to my study," he said proudly, which she smiled and glanced around.

"I never knew you were one to decorate," she nudged him as she looked at the dangling plastic butterflies across the low ceiling. "What's with the wall of words?" She asked as she carefully turned around, not wanting to mess anything up.

"Oh, that's a list of the books I've read so far. I want to keep up with them in case I reread a story I might have read before." He answered as he glanced behind him. "I wanted you to have this," he cut in suddenly as he moved to pull something out. It was two notebooks, both of them were identical.

"What is it? It looks cool," she pointed out as he handed her one of the notebooks.

"It's a way to communicate. You had mentioned earlier that sometimes you want to escape your house, so I remembered that my mother gave these to me. I was supposed to give one to Thor, but I'm giving it to you instead." He smiled as she opened one of them.
