The morning after Minerva left, Loki woke up, intending to hang out with her. Knowing her birthday was in a few months, he wanted to get her something special. When he opened the shared notebook, however, he saw the note she'd left.

"Loki, I wish I could spend your birthday with joy, though your father made sure I cannot. The last gift I gave you was not out of coincidence, but it was purposeful. However, I want you to promise me one thing when I leave: do not come looking for me. Rest assured, I am alright, but because of Odin, I can no longer stay in Asgard. I know there will be moments where you are angry with me, and I wish it were not the case. I will never forget you, though you in the future may forget me."

Reading the words made him stop for a moment, though he rushed out of his room and toward his mother's study. If this note was right, then she left and didn't say anything. Why did Minerva not say anything about this to him? His mind spiraled, though he continued to try finding his mother.

Knowing how Thor's perspective on Minerva wasn't in a kind manner, there was a chance Frigga could find her. Loki felt something was wrong, and they were going to find Minerva and bring her back if it was the last thing they could do. "Mother!" They called, though he expected a response somehow.

"Loki, what's the matter?" His mother asked in concern, though he showed the note written by Minerva before she left. "Odin would not do such a thing as to cause Minerva to leave." She hesitated, yet she turned toward the throne room. "He wouldn't..." Watching as Frigga left the boy alone, she rushed toward the throne room in need of an explanation.

"My King, what have you done?" Even as the queen's voice laced with betrayal, the idea of Loki's happiness being stripped away was not something taken lightly. "You sent Minerva away?"

"I gave her a title, and in return, she set out to do what she wanted to do," it seemed like a white-collar cover-up of something much larger than normal. "Don't give me that look, my queen."

"The look in my eyes is only because you knew how your reactions would affect Loki. You knew they cherished her, so you pull this before he has a chance to court her," Frigga realized Odin must have had a hate toward Minerva because of her appearance, let alone her species. You know this will create a divide between you and Loki," she says, before dismissing herself from her husband.

From Minerva's perspective, she was on the planet which the mind stone resided, hoping to find it quickly. Her wings carried her through the barren skies, hoping there would be some indication of where the stone was, but to no such luck. Already her first night without the care of her loved ones, and she expected too much of herself.

Flying lower to the ground, she stayed at the level just enough to feel the ash of the barren realm between her fingers. Minerva continues on, however, feeling the drive of her desire to see Loki again. Even though she knew she wouldn't have the chance to see him in the flesh, once she gets her hand on the mind stone, she could reach out to him across the dimensions to see him once more.

In an instant, she could feel warmth within her chest, causing her to look down at what could be causing it. The necklace she gave Loki for his birthday was active, meaning he was looking in on her. Stopping in place, Minerva held onto the necklace, causing their sights to switch. While looking into Loki's eyes, he started writing in a journal different from the one Minerva had given her.

"Why did you leave?" Was his first sentence, causing sadness to wash over her yet again. "What has Odin said or done to make you leave?"

"I am fulfilling my destiny, Loki. I know this pains me to say," she draws in the ash below her. "But please do not check in on me anymore. My intention was to leave you with happy emotions, not for you to chase after me even when I am gone."
