It was finally the end of the day and I was trying to find my friends making me and tommy part ways for him to go home
"wait y/n!" I turned around to him as I was already half way down the corridor
"yeah?"
"uhm do you want me to meet you at Tamsin's when your done. So your not walking alone in the dark"
"yeah sure, I'll text you the address"
"I don't have your number"
"oh right" I said quickly running over to him with his phone on his hand waiting for my contact number. I quickly typed in my number and my name under as y/n <3
"okay message me so I have your number as well" I said in a rush as Tamsin and Poly where shouting for me down the corridor
"bye!"
"bye y/n"
I ran over to the two with a little smile on my face
"what happened there!?"
"tommy asked for my number and asked if he could meet me when I'm done at yours because he didn't want me walking home alone in the dark!" that was really sweet of him but i did feel bad for him for walking in the cold darkness of the night but glad I wasn't walking alone
"omg he totally likes you!"
"wot" in my british accent, tommy would be proud
"omg y/n he would do that unless he liked you!"
"shut up he doesn't like me he's just being a friend" trying to play it cool and ignoring the heat of my cheeks
"how many times are you gonna deny the fact that you like each other"
"as many as it takes for you to get it in the thick brain of yours that we are only friends" I said laughing at the wonderful compliment I had just given her. They both let go of the conversation once again and we walked over the Tamsin's house as it wasn't too far away.
I walked into her mansion of a house and was greeted by her family's servants that where waiting for our bags and coats by the door. This was something I was used to from Tamsin, seen as though we had been friends for years I've been to her house many times, I even had my own belongings there like a toothbrush ect.
Tamsin wanted her party to be birthday themed even though it was nobody's birthday, we put up balloons that where filled with helium for us to inhale later at the party. Tamsin was currently calling her best team, hiring DJs etc. She really wanted this party to go well. It amazing how much effort a teenage girl would go through impress their crush, but I think its the best part of growing up. young love.
young love? I questioned the meaning of young love for the remaining time I was hanging balloons. I've heard the stories my mum told me about her first love when she was a teen and hell I even watched my older brother go through it too. I guess it happens to everybody, but who is mine? When I was young and used to visit my grandma I used go see all her friends too as I saw them as my second grandparents. They has watched me grow up. They always used to tell me about their day, and love that they had experienced. I guess the rumour's are true. Their is one person in this world that one day I will fall for and who knows maybe I ready have, just don't know it yet.
"earth to y/nnnnnnn ???? omg is she dead" Polly snapping me out of my thoughts.

"omg what where you thinking about" and of course the one thing that pops into my head as a cover up was

"I KNEW IT! I KNEW YOU LIKED HIM" she shouted in the middle of Tamsin's hall, yes like a school hall.
"SHHHH Tamsin's gonna scream at us!!!" attempting to calm her down and to be more quiet because Tamsin was on a phone call.
"so are you going to admit it or what"
"no. and that's because your wrong. I don't like tommy like that at all"
"your so stupid" and I just rolled my eyes at the gay
"good news!!" Tamsin said walking up to us after ending the phone call "we have a DJ YEY!!!" we all clapped in excitement and started jumping up and down. "okay so now girlies we have to do theeee... the moment we have all been waiting for.... drinks table!!!" Of course there were gonna be boos at a teenage party, that's what its all about. Getting drunk and making bad decisions and dancing horribly afterwards. We made the table with the drinks look all pretty, setting party things like confetti on it with a party banner displayed on the wall behind. This was all so fun but I only had one thing on my mind that were starting to bother me...
"uhm guys, last night me and Tommy stayed up on call together really late last night playing Minecraft and we were kinda..."
"go on" Tamsin said in a soft voice
"we were kinda flirting. It was only subtle but noticeable. I don't know how to feel about it because we are best friends..."
"well, do you like him?"
"no... well... I don't know... maybe? oh god I just don't know and I cant figure this out."
"well to figure out how you really feel, why don't you just flirt with him tomorrow at the party so then you will know. And if he doesn't flirt back... 'you were drunk'" my aim was to get drunk but not too drunk to the point where I don't remember what had happened and to be fair, Polly's idea seemed pretty genius to me so why not.
"you think so??"
"oh yeah 1000%" Tamsin said nodding her head

I quickly sent him Tamsin's address and tommy said he was on his way. And judging how far away he lived it would take him around 10 mins to get here. And just as predicted he came within 10 knocking on her front door and shooting me a text to say he's here. I gathered my stuff, slipping on my shoes and saying goodbye to the girls.
"hey" I said smiling at Tommy the fact that he actually came...
"hey smiley" laughing
"whoa I didn't realise how dark it is! what time is it?"
"That is because it November, y/n. And its 9 pm" I elbowed him in the ribs slightly for a joke
"I know I know and I'm sorry for making you come out so late"
"No worries, I did not realise this is where Tamsin lived" he said looking up at the 4 story house
"I know, she's a rich bitch" laughing but shivering from the cold, I realised I had left my coat at Tamsin's but I felt too bad to go back so I didn't say anything
"cold?"
"maybe a little" breathing out to see the cold air. It had appeared that tommy had taken off his blue coat
"take it"
"what no it yours. you keep it, I only want you to be warm" he knows I was too stubborn to take it, so he wrapped it around me, keeping me close with is arms around my shoulder keeping the coat in place. I had given up and actually put my arms though the coat and put it around my body properly to be greeted by Tommy's smell. It was comforting. We walked the rest of the way home talking about our days like we normally would.
"thank you for taking me home, Tommy" I said turning to face him, we were at my front garden
"your cute" he said under his breath
"what?" I knew exactly what he said, I'm not dumb. I just wanted to hear him say it again.
"nothing, goodnight Y/n" taking a step away from me using it as his que to leave
"goodnight tommy" I said walking into my house, tommy watching at the front to make sure I was in as always.
