Bella went home a few days later to an empty house. It wasn't unusual for this to happen. She went straight to her bedroom and got out her dance bag and put all her stuff in and then headed downstairs to see Sophie waiting for her.

"Come on, let's get you to your dance classes." Sophie escorted Bella out and locked up the home.

Alan arrived home a few hours later. He put his bag down on the side table in the hallway and put his keys in the dish. Michael followed behind him and shut the door.

"Sophie is picking Bella up from dance class and is dropping her home tonight. Bella would like to chat to you when she comes home." Michael mentioned following Alan into the kitchen.

Alan walked up to his wine collection and pulled a Shiraz out and started to pour a large glass of the red wine.

"Thank you, Michael. It's been a long day. I'm just going to have this glass of wine and then go to bed. Bella will have to wait until tomorrow." Alan told his driver as he went and sat in the living room.

"She should be home any minute now. Please, just hear her out." Michael tried to persuade him to stay downstairs and listen to his daughter.

"Why should I listen to a brat who causes me heartache and runs away from her only loving parent. Marie never wanted anything to do with her. I brought Bella up as a single parent.

It was hard yes, but I did everything I could to protect her and keep a roof over our heads, food on the table and clothes on our backs. I think that she's been a little ungrateful.

To be honest, I should've dropped her off at the nearest orphanage as I couldn't cope for the first few months. But I plodded on with very little help from my brothers and sister. In fact, you can take her with you tonight. I don't want anything more to do with her. I'm done. I will call my lawyer up and you and Sophie can adopt her so she's away from me." Alan explained himself.

Bella and Sophie had walked into the house as Alan started his rant at Michael. Bella heard what her own dad had said.

Bella started to cry silently. Sophie hugged her from behind as they both listened to Alan.

"I'M SORRY THAT I WAS EVER BORN!" Bella shouted as she then ran up the stairs and slammed her bedroom door shut.

"Did you have to say that Alan? She only left home because you didn't care about her. The accident has changed her, she's not the same old Bella that we know and love. Your own daughter had brain surgery months ago, you were told that she wouldn't be the same person. I can't believe that you would turn your back on your own daughter. She loves you, Alan. In her own way. But all you have been doing since the accident is keeping yourself busy. You never make time for Bella. She's always with her dance class friends or at our home. It's not a healthy relationship." Michael tried to get through to his employer.

"In fact, sir, you can drive yourself into work tomorrow. Me, Sophie and Jacob are going to take Bella out. Until you come to your senses, drive yourself around to all your work commitments. I quit." Michael turned and walked up the stairs to see that Sophie was hugging Bella sat on her bed.

"Bella, Sophie. Pack up some things to take with you. You are coming home with us Bella. Your dad has made his wishes clear. Plus, I'm no longer his driver. I have just quit on him. He can drive himself around." Michael told the girls.

"So come on then. Let's get moving."

After finding a suitcase, Bella put in all her clothes in and packed up her schoolwork in her school bag. Her dance class bag was still packed with all her shoes and dance clothes. Sophie picked up her school and dance bag and Michael grabbed a hold of Bella's suitcase.

The three of them walked down the stairs. Bella was still crying but she knew they both needed time away from each other.

"I'm so sorry that things have ended like this daddy. I love you and I'm sorry that I have changed for the worse since the accident. I wish now that I was never your daughter in the first place. But, until you come to your senses, I don't want to be here in this toxic house of ours. Goodbye daddy, also please tell Tom that I don't want him anymore." Bella wiped her tears away and was escorted out by Sophie and Michael.

Alan got up and stood at the bay window and watched as his daughter was leaving his life. He cried his heart out.
