Isabella 'Bella' Marie Rickman: I'm Still Standing

Part 9

It was Monday of the following week. Isabella was dressed in her new dance gear and was sat in the back of the car. Michael was with Alan for the day, so Sophie said that she would take Bella to her first dance lesson.

She was introduced to members of her class. They all smiled at Bella and then they started to warm up. Bella looked around and started to do some stretches.

They were doing a ballet class first, so Bella put on her new split sole ballet shoes and then stood at the back of the class.

"Class, we are going to do some ballet for the first hour and then we are going to learn a dance which will be slotted into the dance recital that we are having in a few months." The dance teacher announced.

Isabella was a little excited that she would be in a dance recital. It would be her very first one, so she had to prove that she could do things.

The main class had finished at 8pm. Than dance teacher kept Isabella behind whilst the others had left.

"Miss Rickman, your father has paid me to give you an hour tutoring with myself. So, I am going to teach you some moves that I would like you to practice. Plus, we are going to try and loosen up your body and make it supple. With a lot of hard work, you will be there alongside the rest of the group. Is this ok with yourself?" The dance teacher told her.

'Thank you.' Bella signed at the teacher.

So, Isabella was shown how to stretch her body correctly and given her a simple task of trying the splits. Only to do her right leg forwards first then she would attempt the left leg after mastering the right.

Also, she had learnt a small section of a dance to the music called 'The Staircase Ballet'. Bella had managed to get the section of dance down. It was only an easy bit of dance, but she was loving every minute of learning.

Bella made new friends that week. She was loving her classes. No one asked of her surname, as she knew things would come to a head and then they will be wanting to meet the Potter cast.

One of the girls started talking about the Chamber of Secrets premier that was coming up soon. Bella looked a little nervous about them mentioning Harry Potter.

"Oh, I would so want to meet Tom Felton who plays Draco Malfoy. He's so cute." One of the girls had mentioned Bella's boyfriend.

"Oh no, I would love to meet the legend Alan Rickman who plays Professor Snape." It was getting worse now that they had mentioned her dad.

Bella still couldn't talk much but could say a few words.

"Hey Isabella, who would you like to meet from the Harry Potter cast?" The girl who had mentioned Bella's boyfriend asked of her.

Bella got out her phone and showed them a picture of herself and Tom on set dressed in their Slytherin uniforms.

"Woah, you have been on the set of Harry Potter! I am so jealous of you."

Bella put her phone away and the group started to say goodnight to each other. Bella put back on her ballet shoes and headed back into the dance studio.

They had finished 'The Staircase Ballet' so they were just running through it and making sure that everything was perfect.

"Well done Miss Rickman. Well done indeed. I can see that you have been practicing at home. I think that I will put this solo into the Dance Recital that is coming up. Keep practicing hard at home and I may give you something a little harder to work on." The dance teacher gave her much praise.
