It was the Dance recital night.
It was the red-carpet event for Chamber of Secrets. Alan was dressed in his best and was sat in the limo waiting for the ones in front to drop off the cast. He kept looking at his watch. It was 5pm now and the dance show started at 7.15pm and Bella wouldn't be on until an hour later. So, he was hoping to get through this evening quickly so that he could attend his daughter's dance recital.
The main three cast were out of their cars, and they were busy signing photos and having their pictures taken by the fans.
Bella had invited them to come and see her dance, so they too also had to move quickly and to be on a strict time limit.
Alan, Tom, Daniel, Emma, and Rupert all had to be leaving at 7pm as they had to get to the theatre before the start of the second act. Plus, they had to fight through all the traffic.
Michael, Alan's driver had told him that he was the next one out and they he would be waiting for him to exit the party around 7pm.
"Sophie is dropping Bella off at the theatre as she is going with Jacob to watch the first half of the show. Go and enjoy your night sir. I know it will be strange not to have Bella at your side." Michael told Alan before he got out of the limo.
"Thanks Michael. I don't know what I would've done without you and Sophie these past few months since Bella's accident." Alan thanked his driver.
"It's fine. Go and enjoy."
Alan got out of the limo to flashing cameras all around him. The photographers were all shouting his name asking him to look at them. Alan just stood there and smiled.
Tom had got out next and walked up to Alan and stood next to him as they both posed for the cameras.
"We need to get a move on Tom if we are going to see our princess dance tonight." Alan moved Tom along so he could do his interviews.
Alan stopped and spoke to a Sky News reporter.
"Good evening, Alan. It's good to see you. How have you been doing?"
"I've been doing ok. Just want to get this over and done with." Alan replied.
"I see that your daughter isn't with you tonight for the first time. How is she doing since she had her accident?"
Alan wasn't happy that the reporter asked that but decided to answer.
"She's not here tonight as she's going to be on stage in a few hours in her first dance recital. So, a few others and I are going to go and watch her first dance recital tonight. But it does feel strange not to have Isabella next to me on the red carpet. But, seeing her on stage tonight will brighten my day." Alan then smiled and proceeded to give the interview.
Alan kept on checking his watch, he only had around 10 minutes left before he had to leave. Tom was still doing an interview with the CBBC about his role.
Emma and Daniel were standing at the bar. They had told their parents that they weren't watching the movie tonight or attending the after-movie party. They explained that they had been given tickets to go and see their friend on stage for the first time.
Rupert had told his parents and they had told him no. But he mentioned Bella's name and they changed their attitude and let him go.
They all met up together and looked for Alan who was stood near the door. He was watching for when Michael his driver would pull up.
"Man, I didn't think that I would get away from that woman. She was digging into my personal life with Bella. I told her it was private, and I wasn't going to say anything on that matter. It's no one's business but mine and Bella's." Tom shrugged off the anger over the last interview he gave.
"Well, come on then. Michael has just pulled up. Let's go and see Bella on stage." Alan walked over to the limo and opened the door and the kids all got in and Alan was the last.
