Charlie's P.O.V
I was working on a few things when I heard the phone ring so, I took off my protective gear and walked to the phone, and answered it.
" Daniels and Co. This is Charlie how can I help you?" I leaned on the wall.
"Hello Charlie my name is Maryanne and I'm from the colony over in Brighton and I have a proposition for you" A woman's voice spoke over the phone.
"Oh?" My eyes went wide...
"The elders and I know that you know Queen and are in their social circle" Maryanne spoke in a more sinister tone than before.
Then the little voice inside my head said. "Oh god".
" Indeed I do. What can I do for you?".
"Can you bring some of your old equipment over here? We need you for an experiment".
I gulped as the little voice inside my head said once again. "Oh god".
" I can sense you're nervous Charlie and to make sure you won't back out on us Jacob should be in your laboratory about now".
At that very moment, I looked up to see a man with blonde hair and green eyes leaning against the wall opposite me across the room.
