John/Hyde's P.O.V

"Roger, I think it's time we learn how to control our versions of Hyde."

"I agree and I will contact Jocelyn and Charlotte and set something up."

"I'm getting a little hungry so thinking we could go grab lunch at the café down the street."

When we arrive at the café and Jocelyn and Charlotte both happen to be sitting at a table out front.

Jocelyn gives a concerning look when she sees Roger's pale look from the aftermath of Hyde's shenanigans.

"Are you okay?"

"Oh, don't get me started.  We had one hell of a night."

We sit down and join them at their table as the waitress comes to take our order.  Roger didn't even have the strength to order, so I ordered for him and myself. 

"Melody told us about the Hyde situation" Charlotte explained as she sipped her tea. 

"Lucky we ran into you because we had spoken about getting a hold of you."

Jocelyn told us that her Swiss mother owns the café and they have a small private room in the back for situations like this.

We finished our lunch and tea then the girls took us back to the room I felt the pain of Hyde coming on and looked to Roger as I could tell Hyde was overtaking him as well.

The girls immediately sat us down told us to breathe and started working on teaching us how to control Hyde.

"Alright boys just focus on your breathing and everything will be fine".

I focus solely on my breathing fighting off Hyde while I can hear Roger struggling as Hyde takes him over.  I go into a deeper focus listening to Charlotte's words and manage to push Hyde back down and overcome his overtaking.  Roger isn't overcoming any of it and Hyde is back.

"Charlotte, what you're doing is working with John but I need your help over here with Roger."

I open my eyes and know I need to talk Hyde down and coax Roger to fight him.  I walked up to Roger and put my hands on his shoulders.

"Roger, I know you're in there, and if I can fight him you can too."

Roger stares at me with a blank face.

"Hyde just relax.  He won't stop fighting you, you need to give it up and know Roger will always beat you."

Roger's expression changes immediately and as I can see him overcome Hyde I watch the transition weaken him as he collapses into my arms.   We sat him down on the chaise lounge to regain his energy while we waited for him to fully come.  He reached for my hand as he slurred his words trying to tell me something but I couldn't make out what it was right before he fully passed out.

"Okay let's get him some smelling salts" Charlotte turned to Jocelyn.

"I was thinking the same thing let me go grab those now" She smiled and shuffled before turning and going into a small storage closet.

"I didn't expect this to happen. This common?".

"It depends on the person, but sort of I wouldn't say it was uncommon either".

"I think it might be best if you take Roger home and let him rest because I have a feeling he will go through the withdrawal symptoms".

"What withdrawal symptoms? He takes anything".

"I know but he will go through withdrawal adjacent symptoms since his body is used to switching back and forth between him and Hyde".

And so was that Joselyn returns with smelling salts in hand before walking over to Roger and waving in front of his nose causing him to regain consciousness shortly before I took him home and got him in bed.
