Once the Impala had pulled to a complete stop, the hunters and Nephilim huntresses rushed only to hear music blaring from inside the mausoleum.

The group entered the mausoleum and quickly rushed through the stoned hallways, with the music growing louder, the closer they got.

However, the music had suddenly stopped just as they had reached a locked gate which had tons of students trapped behind it. They were in a panicked state, trying to pry the gate open as many of the crypts inside the room had started to shake.

Almost as if something within wanted to get out.

"Help them." Sam instructed his brother and the girls.

"Dude, you're not going off alone." Dean argued as he tried to pry the gate open.

"Do it!" The younger brother exclaimed before he ran off in search of Samhain.

"I'll go with him." Madelyn said in an attempt to ease the eldest brother before she ran after her best friend.

Quickly catching up to him, she grabbed his arm tightly and pulled him back before he could go any further.

Sam looked down at her. "Maddie." He said, his tone full of urgency.

The blonde gave him a pointed look with concern shining in her eyes. "Are you sure about this?" She asked.

"Yes." He answered, his hazel gaze staring into her blue.

She stared at him a moment longer, quite hesitant on letting him do this - whatever it was - but nodded slowly. "Okay.." She said softly.

Together, the hunter and Nephilim huntress walked through the mausoleum as they looked for Samhain, but as they turned a corner, they found the demon standing in a room, facing the far wall.

They walked up to him silently, Sam narrowing his eyes as they slowly approached when suddenly, Samhain turned around and threw up his arm with a bright, white light emitting from his hand.

The light, however, dimmed and Sam continued walking towards Samhain. "Yeah, that demon ray gun stuff? It doesn't work on me." He said, slightly smug.

"Well.. It works on me.." Madelyn added with a groan as she lied on the ground, having been successfully hit back.

"You alright, Maddie?" The hunter asked, glancing over his shoulder at his best friend with concern only to receive a thumbs up from the Nephilim in response.

Samhain charged forward and was about to strike when Sam had beat him to it by delivering an uppercut punch before they broke out in a fight.

But it wasn't long before Samhain got the upper hand and pushed Sam against a wall by his neck.

Struggling against the demon's grip, Sam had managed to get the demon knife out of his pocket and tried to stab Samhain. However, when it had cut into his skin, it sizzled and caused Samhain to push it out of the hunter's hand before he whipped him around, and threw him into the wall across the room.

"Hey!" Madelyn yelled, grabbing the demon's attention as her eyes turned a pale but brilliant electric blue. She smirked, tilting her head to the side slightly and punched him.

Angered, Samhain threw her aside harshly and made an advance towards the hunter, who had gotten to his feet.

Seeing the demon's fast approach, Sam threw his hand up and used his psychic ability to stop him. Samhain struggled against him but he prevented him from advancing too much.

Madelyn held onto the wall and saw the look of discomfort on her best friend's face as he tried to keep the demon at bay. "Stop, Sam.." She said in concern. "Sam, it's not worth it.."

At the same time, Dean and Camryn had turned the corner only for Dean's face to fall at the sight of his little brother using his abilities while a look of shock graced Camryn's features.

Sensing two presences at the entrance of the room, Sam glanced over the shoulder of Samhain and met his brother's disappointed gaze, but continued with holding the demon at bay, nonetheless.

Blood soon trickled down the young hunter's nose as blood pounded harshly in his head which caused him to grab his head in pain with his free hand.

Deciding to switch tactics, Sam had begun exorcising Samhain which didn't ease his nose bleed but the blood pounding in his head had started to slow down.

The demon gasped and grunted before black smoke had started pouring out of the vessel, disappearing as Don's body fell to the floor with a loud thud.

Sam panted, both the exorcism and keeping Samhain at bay doing a number on him.

He slowly looked up at his brother and the girls, as sadness filled his hazel gaze. He couldn't bear seeing the mixed emotions of disappointment and shock on their faces and lowered his gaze.

Dean and the girls stared at the shaggy haired male sadly with a little bit of fear in their eyes. But apart from the sadness and fear that she felt, Madelyn felt a third emotion within her.

Anger.

"You disobeyed Heaven's orders." She whispered, loud enough for Sam to hear as he met her tear-filled blue gaze. "I fought for you.. I begged and grovelled for you so they wouldn't.." She trailed off and inhaled shakily.

There wasn't anything that she, her sister or Dean could do to change it. With the demon gone, it was time to leave.

Back at the motel, Madelyn was packing the last of her items into her bag while Camryn loaded up the Jeep

Back at the motel, Madelyn was packing the last of her items into her bag while Camryn loaded up the Jeep.

As she closed the zip to her duffel, a knock sounded at the door.

"Come in." She said without sparing a glance towards the door or who had just entered as she put her leather jacket on.

She knew.

"Are you okay?.." He asked.

"I'm fine.." She replied and turned around to look at him. "Are you okay?.."

He nodded slowly and released a heavy sigh. "Maddie--"

"Sam, it's okay." The blonde said, cutting him off gently. "We're okay."

Sam's brow creased slightly as he stared at his best friend in silence.

"We're leaving in a few.." She continued as she picked up her duffel bag and slung it over her shoulder. "Promise to stay in contact?"

"I promise.." He replied with a small smile.

Madelyn returned his smile and walked past him, only to stop suddenly and turned to face him again.

"Can I ask, who is Ruby?" She asked slowly.

"Ruby is a demon.." Sam replied. "She kinda helped me out recently.."

The blonde nodded slowly and turned around to leave, only to be stopped by Sam.

"Hey.." He called to her. "What did you mean by 'You begged and grovelled for me'?"

She tugged her lower lip between her teeth nervously and lowered her gaze to the ground briefly before she met his curious hazel gaze.

She leaned up and kissed his cheek lightly, her lips lingering against his cheek before she pulled back with a soft smile. "Don't worry about it.." She said and squeezed his hand gently. "See you around, Sammy.."

With one last smile, Madelyn left the room, leaving Sam to watch after her retreating figure as the feeling of her lips pressed against the skin of his cheek, lingered.
