I love you. I love you. I love you. Like a heart beat is how evenly spaced these words are.
I *beat* love *beat* you *beat* the only problem is the heart isn't beating. It grows colder and colder the longer it sits in Dean's chest.
"Dean Winchester I love you," Castiel whimpers one last time. Dean is still but somehow, maybe Cas' words, make him move. First his fingers then his hand, then his arm. Dean takes a breath and opens his eyes to be greeted by stunning blue eyes. He swings his arm around Cas' neck and brings him down to kiss him.
"Oh, stop it." Crowley barks as he throws Cas against a wall. Castiel tries to pull away from the stone with all his strength but is fruitless. Crowley slides Cas up the wall torturing him as he goes. To Cas his bones feel like they are breaking and he can feel his skin boiling off. He screams out in pain and tries to pull off the wall. When he finally gets his arm off the stone a sharp pain shoots through his hand. Castiel barley can turn his head to see the hole that has been punctured through his palm. Dean stands up and practically wobbles his way over to Crowley, but the other demons stop him. Another pain in his hand Cas turns his head to see a similar hole is his other hand. He screams again and Dean begins to shout.
"Cas! You stay with me okay? You have to stay just like I did! Your stronger then me come on Cas!" The words hurt Castiel.
"I am no where near as strong as you." He says to Dean, Cas watches as Dean's face goes blank. Another pain, in his feet this time. His feet are on time of each other with a puncture wound in the center of them.
"Of course you're stronger than me Cas you always have been!"
"Dean," Castiel whimpers as he tilts his head down towards the one he loves, "don't stop talking I want to hear your voice."
"You won't like what I've got to say." Dean says watching as Castiel suffers.
"It's not like earlier, Dean just talk to me." Cas opens his eyes weakly and gazes around the room. Four demons and the King of Hell are scattered through out. Dean kneels, broken, on the cement floor. But there is someone else, Kevin. He stands in the corner the darkness almost engulfs him, Cas can see him crying. Kevin walks towards Cas' feet and tries to smile up at him.
"It will be alright, I'll watch out for him." Kevin whispers to Castiel.
"Promise?" Cas asks quietly, Kevin shakes his head.
"Promise what?" Dean asks.
"Promise me you will be safe when I'm gone."
"Castiel don't talk like that-"
"Dean," the word covers Dean like a blanket, if feels as if Cas has wrapped his arms around him in a warm embrace, "Promise me."
"I promise." Dean cries up to Cas.
"I love you." Castiel says one more time before closing his eyes for good. Suddenly the room feels heavy. Suddenly the demons are gone. Suddenly....so is Cas. Dean looks at his broken angel, the only one he would ever want.
"I love you too."

Author's Note:
Sorry for the short chapter I just wanted it to end right there. Sorry about Cas! But you know me and gruesome things, I love them! Does anyone notice anything familiar? Punctured hands and feet handing from something? That's all. Thanks for all the reads.
