Not hearing the water running anymore, you felt your eyes slowly open and you honestly didn't even remember when you had dozed off. Feeling your body shiver, you reached around, searching for the blanket that was no longer covering you. Unfortunately, your hands couldn't find it and you whined in frustration, trying to sit up carefully to look for it. Keeping yourself propped up and leaning back still with one arm, you rubbed your eyes with your free hand and looked around in confusion...why was it so dark? Was it already nighttime?
"Garou..?" you called out quietly, feeling confused at the moment. "Are you still here?" Hearing nothing in return, you bit your lip while sitting up and letting your legs hang off the side of the bed. The soft glow from the moon outside in the night sky was slowly starting to illuminate the room and you tried to see any fluffy lump nearby that would be your blanket. Not wanting to possibly hurt yourself again, you slowly moved off the side of the bed while looking over to your door. It was still open, and the little night light you had in the bathroom was on, and Garou definitely wasn't in there anymore...where was he then? Did he leave to go home for the night? Of course he had every right to do so, this was your home, not his, you couldn't demand he stay here...but why did it still make you so sad he wasn't here right now?
"Damn...wish he would have said bye or something..."
Holding your gut gently, you quietly walked across your room to the door and peered out into the short hallway to the rest of your darkened home. It was all quiet... That familiar dryness in your mouth started to make you really want something to drink, so you walked out through your living room and to the kitchen to get a glass of water. As you past through your living room, the glass sliding door that led outside from your living room was opened a bit, and you froze upon realizing it. Of course that wasn't something you would have just left open, not that you even remembered opening it since you've been home since you were lying down resting most of the time so far.
"Garou?" You whispered, hesitantly going towards the door. Maybe he went outside or something and left the door slid open..?
"Garou, i-if you're outside, can you please answer me?" Still with no reply, you neared the door and looked outside, seeing if anything was visible. A gentle breeze was the only thing making any sound and you swallowed hard, leaning back inside and sliding the door shut. Locking it quickly, you stepped back, looking back around in the darkness of your home. It felt eerie and you held your arms in comfort while continuing to the kitchen like you had planned before. You filled a small glass with water and gently sipped on it, listening to the nothingness in the darkness... The soreness in your nose and ribs were still present, so you knew certain events still occurred. You felt so lonely...and not like a lonely you've felt before. Usually when you were at home, it was quiet, and of course you were alone, but this felt different... Was Garou not being here really making you feel so desolate? You had only seen him for a brief amount of time, not like he had even been here that long, not like he was living here with you...no different than a friend just visiting for a moment and then leaving to return home.
After finishing your water, you sighed deeply while setting the cup down, feeling tears threaten to fall from your eyes. Just feel so damn lonely without him here...
"Dammit, Garou...Making me feel ridiculous cause you're not here..." you laughed weakly to yourself, slowly walking to the couch. You turned on the lamp on the little table nearby and gasped lightly seeing a couple different objects on the table. There were a few bandage patches in a little pile, couple crushed cans of coke and a few rags that had blood stains on them. You frowned deeply at the rags and plopped down on the couch. What the hell was he out there doing..? There was a little relief at least, knowing that he was most likely hanging out still, and that he hadn't just completely left, at least not yet.
Leaning back against the cushions, you bit the end of your thumb and stared at the glass sliding door, pondering if you should go out and look for him... That would probably just make him worry if he came back and you weren't here...
You pulled a blanket over yourself and nestled down into the cushions, just waiting...
"Please come back soon..."
It didn't take long for sleep to consume you again, and you quickly slipped into a deep rest.
