Garou carried you into the bathroom and you felt your breath catch in your throat, feeling nervous again about being so close to him like this. Everything just felt so weird...never in a million years did you imagine your friend carrying you protectively through your home and taking care of you like this. As embarrassed as you felt, you also couldn't deny how grateful and eager you were to spend more days with him.

He positioned you upwards more as he stopped in-front of the sink counter and set you down onto it gently before leaning back to flick on the light switch, illuminating the room.

"Just wait here." He said while waking over towards your large tub. "Probably help if you relax in hot water too...so you don't stay so sore."
You nodded in response and sat nervously while watching him start to run water in the bath and you held onto the ends of your hair, twisting them gently between your fingers. He was always so helpful with you before, always doing what he could to make you happy...but it seemed so different now, it made you feel so different. You had always liked him before but the feelings at that young of an age couldn't compare in any way to how you're feeling now. Over the past couple years your parents had introduced you to possible suitors and none of them, no matter how charming or handsome they looked, could appeal to you in any way at all.

Not that you were given a choice...but if any of them tried to take you on a date for courting, there wasn't a single thing they said or did that made your stomach knot up the way sitting on the counter in your bathroom with Garou did. None of them made you blush, none of them made you want to see them again, none of them made you fidget or feel nervous, and none of them made you feel safe and cared for...

It felt like this was supposed to happen, considering the last guy your parents tried to marry you off to suddenly changed his mind at the last minute, causing all plans to halt much to your surprise. It was someone who they were serious about, and had arranged meetings with for months. He was nice...not too bad looking...much older however, maybe late 30s, treated you kindly, showered you with gifts, took you on lavish excursions, but still none of that sparked any interest or connection. You were respectful per your parents demands, and you tried to have fun but you could only fake it so long. The one thing you were grateful for, was he didn't mention to your parents that you were the problem. Most of the possible suitors always blamed you for the incompatibility, blamed you for the lack of exciting excursions, blamed you for not being excited as they attempted some lame excuse of romance...but this last guy only discussed that with you in private.

It was hurtful, to hear all the negatives about yourself that you could have gone without knowing, but at least he was honest and to be fair you wanted nothing to do with him anyway. You weren't sure of the reason he gave your parents but they were definitely more upset at him than you, which was a nice change...
But he was the one you were supposed to be married to as soon as you turned 18 and now that's been several months ago and you've been able to put some distance between you and your parents demands and suddenly Garou shows back up into your life...
They still said you were going to marry who they chose but at this point they couldn't possibly force you to do so. Finally feeling the ability to have interest in someone you wanted, almost felt scandalous. Especially since it was Garou...
Someone your parents did not like at all. It was almost the very reason that you felt so drawn to him, as if a rebellious child doing the opposite of their parents demands or expectations.
Their reasons for disliking him were beyond childish in your eyes. Garou wasn't raised in insane wealth like you were so he was immediately disbanded from being a contender. Plus as a child, he preferred to have interest in monsters rather than blindly praise heroes and that would not be tolerated in their plans for you. They repeatedly labeled him as dangerous and bad company to be around. He would probably hurt you in the future, or cheat on you, or use you for money, or some other wild excuse they told you as a child to avoid him.
