HUNTER'S POV

WE CANT CHANGE the things we cant control. Mother was getting worse with her dementia. I hated the way this was affecting her. She didnt deserve this whole situation, she didn't need the stress—the doctors around her kept pestering her though. She was coughing and trying to push them away, while struggling to remember what she  was doing here. I frowned at her.

How much I loved my mother.

As usual, by the time I left her room I went upstairs, while maintaining my perfect composure. I stalked the corridors passing the maids who sent me pitiful looks.

I passed them and found myself at the front of my bedroom door. Opening the door I found the girl in my bed. The Uniform she wore wasn't Juggler and that made me annoyed that I couldn't just have her again with me in Juggler, where the difference will be that she and me would be dating.

Instead she would never be coming back—only for when she sneaks in school.

If it weren't forr George letting me know that she was sneaking into see me, but couldn't since I had other matters to deal with like sorting Flynn out—then I wouldn't of obviously known she came. I'm glad he told me though, so now I can discipline her.

"What the fuck were you thinking?" I growled at her.

Fiona dropped her hair pin on my white sheets before playing with the ends of her hair, the curls of brunette hair falling around her finger. She didn't have the courage to look up at me. She was a coward. Good.

"You know I hate disobedient brats, right?" I hissed.

She let out a small snort before shaking her head at me. "You dont understand, I just wanted to see something. It was important."

"What was so important to risk having your identity being revealed to the press, your classmates and most of all Charlotte fucking Kim?" I clenched my fists, feeling myself get annoyed with her selfish behaviour.

    How fucking dare she.

    "I'm sorry," she says.

The tone she used was way less loud than I expected her to be, she was obviously feeling small. I suddenly felt a little bit bad for shouting soo much. I happened to do this after something emotionally fucked me over in this case my mother and the one person I was letting my anger out on was the one person who usually calmed me down and the one I love.

"Sorry, I'm just angry right now kitten," I sigh.

Her eyes widen at this before she jumps into my arms, her legs still on the edge of my bed and her arms around my neck. She kissed my cheek, my nose and then my forehead, leaving a peck there.

"Hunter there's something I found out as a memory came back after you left this morning for school."

My eyes widened. "Tell me right now."

****

Fiona was sitting on my lap and I had been braiding her hair while she calmly told me about the recovered memory she had and apparently she said it was an important one that had  something to do with her and Derry.

"Are you sure you saw Derry in your dream?" I asked confused.

"Hunter, Derry was the girl I saw in my dream and she told me to call her Derriah. There were also two other kids, but their faces are a blur. I'm sure if I go to the school once more I can trigger more memories to—"

"No. Fuck no. That's it, you're never going back. I know you're passionate about ruining Charlotte's life after she tried to kill you, but that's it. I saved you back then, I'm not gonna risk my neck to save you again, this is probably the fucking government we're talking  about Fiona, they're dangerous people to go against."
