The boys were fired up for sure, eveident as soon they stepped onto the ice.
The intensity and excitement could be felt even where Jessica and Roland were sat, causing an uproar in the crowd.
"Lets go boys!" Roland cheered from beside her, jumping up from his seat.
The teams began to line up for the faceoff, the feeling of nervousness taking over Jess.
Finland won the World Juniors the year before, and even though they hadn't had the start they wanted this tournament. They were still a force to be reckoned with.
Though Jessica's nerves settled down when Sam Reinhart scored off a shot by Shea Theodore. The remainder of the game went by fast, filled with fast paced action and smart plays.
She was extremely proud of the boys and how they had come together so far, dominating the tournament with a 3-0 start. It surprised her how invested she had become in this team, after dreading being there at the start.
But as they say, anything can happen.
"Hey, great game Bray." Jess smiled, pulling Brayden into a hug once he exited the dressing room.
"Thanks Jess."
"What are we doing tonight?"
Brayden shrugged, high fivng Roland who was stood beside them.
"Dunno. I'll ask some of the guys later." He replied with a smile as McDavid walked out of the room.
Brayden ran up to his friend, leaving Jessica and Roland to wait alone yet again. Though the two decided to make their way to the bus instead of standing around the arena.
"Jess, you know I'm leaving soon right?" Roland said in a disappointed tone, catching her off guard.
"Yeah, why?"
"There are so many things I still want to do here, and I have like four days!" He sighed as they climbed on the bus, greeting their dad and rest of the coaching staff.
"What do you wanna do then?"
"I wanna play or practice with the team, I wanna meet Noah Hanifin, I wanna get autographs and pictures with everybody and I want team Canada to win." Roland recited his list as they sat in a row of seats together.
Jessica laughed at her brother's lengthly and big list of wishes. He was the most adorable hockey fan.
"We could probably have most of those things happen, Ro. I mean Dad is the coach so we'll have to ask him. But I could make the off ice things happen." Jessica smiled, Roland came to Montreal to have a good time at the tournament. But he hadn't done much since his arrival, and she wanted him to enjoy his time.
"Really? Thank you Jess!" He beamed, attacking her with a hug.
"Group hug!" Domi yelled as he ran up to the siblings and jumping on top of them.

Jessica was sat at the head of Brayden's bed, watching him and Sam Morin play NHL 15 on Sam's XBOX he had brought from home. She was promised that Brayden and her would hang out and do something fun, but she was forced to sit and watch some kids play some video game.
Not exactly what she had in mind for fun.
"Eat shit Morin!" Brayden yelled as the horn rang from the television, signalling a goal.
"Fuck you Pointer, whats the score again? Five - One me? Sit down buddy." Sam laughed, scoffing at his friend.
Jessica giggled at the banter until she had recieved a message on her phone, catching her by surprise.
Hey it's Jack
It overjoyed her that Jack had actually texted her, sending butterflies to her stomach. A feeling that Jessica had become accquainted with recently.
Hey :)
She almost regretted the text as soon as she sent it, feeling like she should have added more or removed the smiley face.
What are you up to?
"Fucking refs need to go back to Footlocker! That wasn't a hook!" Brayden whined, thowing his controller back onto the bed.
"Watch it Point." Jessica said as the controller rolled to her foot.
"Sorry Jess." He replied, catching the controller she that threw back to him.
Watching some freinds play NHL, bored out of my mind.
Wanna come over then?
Jessica's cheeks heated as she read the text, it made her feel special that Jack wanted to see her again, and so soon. She didn't hesitate to stand, accepting Jack's offer and catching the attention of the two boys in the room.
"Where are you going, Jess?" Sam asked, only briefly taking his eyes off the television.
"Back to my room." She lied, biting her lip to prevent from blabbing. "I'm tired."
"At 8 at night?" Brayden noted, clearly skeptical about her sudden leaving.
Jessica nodded as innocent as she could, having Brayden shrug it off. She bid the boys goodbye, quickly exiting the room.
"Hey Jessica!"
"Shit." Jessica muttered, turning around to see Josh smiling at her as he headed towards her. He was the person she least wanted to see at the moment. Only because of her plans for the night.
"Hi Josh."
"What're you up to?" He said, leaning in for a hug. Jessica almost melted at his touch, gently hugging him back.
"Nothing much, just uh going back to my room." She said as he let go of her, having her longing for his embrace yet again.
"Alright, I'm just heading to Bowey's room if you wanna join us later."
"Okay, thanks."
"For sure, see you." Josh smiled, lingering before turning and walking past Jessica, leaving her bewildered as to where to go.
