Jessica was stuck lying in her bed wide awake. Something she found herself doing more and more often. Loud thoughts clouded her mind, forcing her awake no matter how much her eyes refused to remain open.

The fact that she was in some sort of love triangle was the primary thought, with the many other side topics surrounding it.

She hated that she allowed herself to fall so quickly and so easily, but it couldn't be undone. It was set in stone, she liked Josh and Jack much to her dismay.

It scared her that she would have to choose between them, she didn't want to make the wrong choice.

But she couldn't keep leading them on too. It was unfair to the guys.

Jessica let out a sigh and rolled onto her side, resting her head on her side.

She peered at the alarm clock, noting it was 3am. She needed to get to sleep, get the situation out of her mind before she stayed up the whole night.

It was a big day tomorrow and she needed to rest to get through it.

"Morning sweet cheeks." Max chirped from behind her as he took a seat in the row behind her.

"Hey Domi." She smiled, pulling her earbuds out of her ears.

"You coming to the team new years party tonight?" He asked, as he shrugged off his jacket.

"Wouldn't miss it." Jess replied, the boys were a blast most of the time and since it was new years she knew it was going to be wild. She was down for a good time.

"Great, save me a dance, hey." He winked before going to bro hug Connor who took a seat beside him.

Jessica blushed slightly, turning herself as she plopped into her seat beside her brother.

The team soon filled the bus, and the crew was on their way back to the Bell Centre for a rendezvous with the Americans.

Jessica was nervous to say the least. Probably more nervous than most of the players were. She just wanted Canada to win the big game against the US. But then again, she didn't want Jack to be upset if they did lose.

It was just a lose lose situation no matter the result.

"Okay then, we'll ask Jess.. Jess! Whos better, Crosby or Ovechkin?" Brayden asked from behind her, snapping her out of her thoughts.

"Crosby." She replied, not moving from her seat.

"See!"

"Shut the fuck up Pointer, Jessica's opinion doesn't mean you're right." Virtanen replied.

"Just accept Sid is the better overall player, Ovi is good, don't get me wrong but Crosby is just better." Brayden said, causing Jess to giggle as she turned her head, trying to see the two.

"Whatever, I'm not arguing with you anymore. Fuck off." Jake said as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Woah, woah, woah. Language kids! We have some minors on this bus." Reinhart spoke up, calming the boys.

"Yeah Virtanen."

"Fuck you Point."

-

"Look, its Noah Hanifin! Wow." Roland exclaimed, pointing out number two in the blue, red and white.

"I can't believe we're in the same room right now." Jessica giggled at how starstruck he was.

"How about you go up to the glass and try to get his attention?" She suggested. Roland was quick to jump out of his seat and bolted down to the glass.

She watched her brother try to get closer to his idol, waving, banging on the glass and yelling his name. But to no avail.

Jessica decided she was going to meet up with Jack after the game and see if Roland could meet Noah. She wanted her brother to have something memorable for him to happen before he left.

The buzzer went off signalling warm ups were over. The players skated off the ice one by one at their own pace, soon leaving the music and jumbo tron to entertain the crowd.

"I didn't get him to notice me." Roland sighed as he trudged back to their seats.

"Its okay Ro." Jess said, consoling her brother.

She decided to text Jack about it, seeing how disappointed Roland was over not being noticed by Noah. She hoping he would see it before he left and they could meet up after the game.

The arena suddenly began to roar and the lights began to dim. Jessica's nerves began to heighten and the players started to skate out for the national anthems.

It was the big game, Canada versus the USA. Granted it wasn't for the gold, but nevertheless, it still made Jessica's heart race.

The crowd was electric at the first face off and both teams were heated, evident from the sudden shoving from Duclair and Motte before the play.

The tone was set from there on out, with all the players getting in on the action. Even the nicest guy in the world, Josh Morrissey got a massive hit in. Which caused Jess to gasp, but that was hockey.

The first period was very uneventful, scoring wise. But things were definitely heating up. There was much more grinding, push and shove making for a very intense game. But there was nothing less to expect.

The second period soon rolled around and both teams still couldn't bury one. That is until Domi potted one in from a pass from Reinhart.

The arena went crazy, including Jessica and Roland. Who were jumping and hugging each other in excitement.

"I LOVE CANADA!" Roland yelled, making the people around them laugh at the boy.

But before Canadians could regain themselves, Josh took a one-timer from Fabbri putting it in the net just above Thatcher Demko's pad. The crowd went wild, especially Jessica. She was extremely proud of Josh, and ended up screaming her lungs out along with the rest of the crowd.

Jessica couldn't stop smiling as she re-watched the play on the jumbo tron. It showed Josh who was also smiling up at the jumbo tron before being patted on the helmet by Madison who was sitting beside him. It was his first of the tournament and a big one too. Putting Canada up 2-0 over the US.

Though things were only just getting started.
