you ran through the forests of asgard, stopping when you came to a high wall of stone.
you looked up and took a step forward, reaching to grab the vines hanging from the top of the cliff to the bottom, using them to climb up.
grabbing a couple of vines, you hoisted yourself to make your way up, however your hand slipped and the vines parted to the side, you had fell forward into what you had thought to be stone.
as you fell you put your left arm out and curved it, to stop your fall and rolled swiftly on it.
you scanned the small hidden cave you had fallen into, you looked back to see the vines had fallen back into place, covering the cave entrance.
you narrowed your eyes but decided on walking down the cave, the young curiosity overpowering her better judgement.
you walked for a few minutes further down the cave and it split into a fork of two pathways, you were about to go left but a small light caught your eye on the right path.
you tilted your head, walking down the pathway to your right to see where the small light source was coming from.
the further you went down the path you began to see that there was a ton of rocks packed together, creating a wall.
a small glimmer of light poked through one of them. you slid your finger down the rock, getting on your knees to press your eye against the opening.
you pulled away, rapidly beginning to tear down the wall, the rocks above fell at the sudden loss of foundation, a bright shining light caused you to cover your eyes, as they had not adjusted to the sudden change of lighting.
when your eyes adjusted, you could've sworn your jaw hit the floor. it was the most beautiful place you had ever seen, and there were so many places in asgard that were beautiful.
the first thing you noticed as you took a step further into this unknown place was all the beautiful waterfalls.
the landscape was so green and full of life. it had trees, bushes and plants galore and below was a wide body of water.
you looked down to your right and there was a slope of land, you walked down to get onto ground level, being when you came out of the cave you were elevated. (just like the perspective of the camera in the photo above)
you walked over to the water, which was a beautiful greenish-blue color. you reached down and ran a hand through it, when you looked up, you once again marveled at the beautiful landscape in front of you.
'i wonder if anyone else knows about this place' you thought, looking around for any signs that showed if anyone had been visiting or even living here.
you were satisfied when you found nothing and continued to explore the paradise you had just discovered.
you found a wide tree that was low to the ground, thousands of strong branches sticking out from it, going in all directions.
you figured it best to be home before your parents call on the royal guards to send out a search party for you.
your father was overseeing power of the royal guard at the moment.
he wasn't the ideal father figure, being he was an abusive man.
when he'd physically abuse you and your mother, he'd force made up stories to others on how clumsy they were.
he was obsessed with war, wishing he had a son but instead was disgraced with a daughter. nevertheless he had you training at the young age of four.
he would tell you often that he wished he wouldn't have been so foolish to help conceive such wasted potential to asgard.
he would hit you and throw you around whenever he was mad, wanting something to blame his frustrations on.
then telling you that he did these things because he loves you, because he wants to develop your character. how you were a problem that needed to be dealt with, when in reality you had never done anything wrong.
father would also bring up his success, and compare all of your failures, at the age of six years old.
he often took trips to midguard, no one questioning why because of his high position.
each time leaving empty handed and returning with black brief cases and hiding them somewhere in the home.
he'd taught you hundreds of ways to kill people, and you wondered why you never used those techniques to end his life. but you hadn't, and you didn't understand why.
it should've been so easy when it was his fault you never had the chance to know what a good childhood was, what a good father was, and even what real unconditional love was like.
one day, you would be the one to bring an end to your suffering. the one to rid the planet of such a terrible man.
you would wait, patiently.
bloodthirsty for revenge, for all the hell he put you and your mother through, at the young age of unfortunately, six years old.
