Chapter 10 Sacrifice

Ahahahahahahahhaha blood warning, skip if u want to. And yes, I mortified the Hanahaki disease a bit. So my version is when the whole thing gets serious, the branches would start growing out and so will the flowers. Disgusting I know but I want to make it ✨spicy✨

So yes according to the plot, y/n's condition grew worse as everyone expected.

Nezuko Pov

Y/n won't stop coughing and Kanao was somehow always near her. The other day, Nii-chan said that I smell like flowers. How? I didn't even go for flower aggrangement class that day.

"Y/n." I patted her on her shoulder, she turned around, then turned back to cough, then turn around again.

"Hm?"

"Y/n, please tell me what is going on. I can't stand it when you are unwell. I want to help you"

"Nezuko....Please do not tell anyone this." Y/n stammered, she moved towards my ear, and whispered.

With a sad tone, she whispered those word I doubt anyone would want to hear.

"Hanahaki."

"It's him isn't it." Nezuko asked. Y/n nodded.

"Nezuko, please do not tell him about it. I don't want to force him to return my feelings. I'm sure he likes someone too so please don't force him." Y/n begged Nezuko. 

Without another word, Nezuko grabbed y/n's hand and marched to find Kanao. 

"Kanao!!" 

Kanao was talking to Tanjirou in the hallways when she heard Nezuko calling her from behind.

"Kanao please come." Nezuko said, holding y/n with her sort of like a kidnapper. (Y/n was trying to keep up with Nezuko's pace and to people it seemed like y/n was kidnapped by Nezuko)

Kanao turned to look at y/n and saw the serious look and she nodded.

Tanjirou was about to follow but Nezuko turned around and stick out her tongue at her brother. "Bleh!! Girls only!! Sumiko-chan!!" (You know that time when Tanjirou was dressed as female. Yeah, she using that name.)

Tanjirou just stared, dumbfounded.

"Kanao, is it true about Hanahaki." Nezuko asked when they were alone. 

Kanao looked shock for a moment, then nodded sadly.

"Does Kanae and Shinobu-neechan know about this?" 

"No, not yet."

"I think you should tell then, they would know how to help her." Nezuko said earnestly, wanting to do anything to help her friend.

"HANAHAKI????" Shinobu screamed when she heard the news. Kanae was just shocked.

"KANAO PLEASE DON'T LIE OKAY!" Kanao nodded, dead serious.

"Y/n, I know a cure for this and Shinobu studied how to remove Hanahaki surgically before, do you want it to be removed?" Kanae asked. Y/n nodded.

"However, you would lose memories of the person you love, even friendship memories. And when it's removed, you won't be able to create any bond with that person again." Shinobu sighed.

"Y/n dear. As much as we want to help you, we want you to be happy too. Tell us. Do you want to take the surgery?" Kanae questioned.

Y/n shook her head slowly. As much as she wants to live by her sisters for the rest of her life, she doesn't want to lose memories of the person she loved.

"Née-chan, I'm going out for a moment." Shinobu said suddenly. But before she can leave, Kanao grabbed her and smiled.

"Ara ara Shinobu, don't try to force the poor boy into loving our sister." Shinobu groaned, knowing her plan was out.

There would always be a sacrifice, one of them. Both would be painful, but what hurts the most is losing memories. Y/n, your nee-chan understands.
