Prologue

"Oyy ikaw! Ano ginagawa mo dito?" The little girl asked at umayos ng pagkakaupo sa kama.

Lumapit ang batang lalaki sa kanya at umupo sa tabi ng kama. Hinila nito ang isang maliit na table sa tabi at inilagay sa harap ng batang babae. Inilapag niya dito ang isang notebook na may mga eroplano.

"Ano to? Ang cute naman." She exclaimed and giggled. He opened the notebook and revealed a blank page.

"Diba sabi mo gusto mo magtravel sa buong mundo. Here let's make a list of all the places na gusto mo puntahan." The little boy replied and gave her a sweet smile.

"Ohhh woowww sige basta ba kasama kita eh. Diba gusto mo maging pilot? Libre moko ha." She teased and they both laughed. But the boy suddenly sighed.

"I'm not sure eh. My dad wants me to be a doctor just like him and my lolo." He said with a sad and worried face. She held his hands.

"It's okay. Kahit ano pa work mo sa future, we'll still travel together." She assured him. They both smiled at each other. Naglabas ng colored markers ang lalake mula sa kanyang backpack at sinimulang magsulat.

They happily filled the pages of the notebooks with all of their dream destinations. The two have been friends since they were little kids. Magkapitbahay sila noon, ngunit noong naghiwalay ang mga magulang ng babae, nagkahiwalay sila. Her mom had to work abroad to afford her hospital bills, kaya she was put in the nursing home habang wala ito. Dahil may kalayuan ang nursing home sa bahay nito ay hindi niya kadalasang nabibisita ang kanyang kaibigan. But when he does, he makes sure to bring something she would love. Ngayon ay unti-unti ng napupuno ang pahina ng notebook ng mga lugar na gusto nilang mapuntahan.

'Paris,

Switzerland,

London,

Iceland,

Tokyo,

Seoul,

Singapore,

and many more.'

"Wahh finally tapos na!! Hayysss inaantok na ako." She said and stretched her arms. He slowly closed the notebook and moved the table away from her bed.

"Sige. I'll stay hanggang makatulog ka." He said as he fixed her blanket.

She closed her eyes and drifted to dreamland while he watched her peacefully sleeping. He smiled. She isn't anyone to him, she is his first love. He took and deep breath and started singing.

Please don't take my sunshine away'

Little did he know that the other patient from the other side of the room was listening to his voice. She just came back from her checkup and heard him singing.

'What a sweet voice.' The other girl thought and smiled. She continued to listen to his voice and got curious as to who it might be. The singing suddenly stopped and she heard the door closed. He probably left already.
