"So I hear you're showing one of the prospects around." Tori said as she started walking beside her sister. "How could you possibly know that? I just got the call." Her sister wondered.
She laughed and put her arm around her sister. "Ah, grasshopper, I knew before you even got your message from your strange roommate. You see, you might not enjoy being a Gilmore-Hayden, but I have learned to use the resources offered me. You will to if you want to live to your full potential." With that she was gone walking off to meet Logan for dinner.
On Monday she decided to go see who her sister was paired with since her class wasn't for two hours and Logan had left earlier that morning complaining about his father calling him and having to go to his office.
She was going to knock but the door was already opened. "Okay, I actually snagged us some caviar. They were all out of toast points, but I think we can use Doritos and achieve a very similar result."
Tori recognized the bartender again and couldn't stop herself from speaking. "About that you couldn't be more wrong...Marty, right?." She said amused when he whipped his head back and forth between her and Rory. "Ok, maybe the caviar went bad." He mumbled.
Rory laughed. "No, Marty. Remember I have a twin. This is Victoria. Victoria, you know Marty and this is Anna Fairchild I'm showing her around Yale." Rory made introductions. "Yes, hello again Marty." She said with a small polite nod. "Fairchild? As in Matthew Fairchild?" She asked interested.
The girl nodded happily. "That's my dad." Tori smiled. "Oh, how wonderful. My full name is Victoria Gilmore-Hayden. Your father works at my grandparents firm." "You're Victoria Hayden?!" The girl asked excitedly. "Very nice to meet you, Anna." Tori said always the hostess.
"Anyway, I'll put this in the fridge." With a throat clearing from Paris he corrected himself. "In my room." With that he turned and left. "So, do you live here too, Miss Hayden?" Tori appreciated this girls manors and would have to show her around if she ended up at Yale.
"No, no I live with my boyfriend, Logan Huntzberger, off campus." Now the girls eyes were big. "You're dating Logan Huntzberger? He's so handsome." Tori laughed. "Please, it's Tori. And don't let him hear you say that he's already got a big head."
"Let's get going." Rory said grabbing their coats. "You've got boys bringing you food." Anna wondered over that fact. Rory and Tori both smiled. "Yale is a magical place, Anna."
"Well, I just wanted to see how you two were getting along and invite you to dinner with Logan and myself tonight. We're taking the jet with a few friends to New York for the evening." Tori was worried Anna quit breathing for a moment.
" I get to go with you to New York on a private plane?!" She was almost jumping in excitement. "Oh, no story you don't have to..." she stopped Rory from finishing. "Ror, we're already going. It won't cost more if you join. I'll cover your dinners don't even worry. You don't have to join but I hope you will consider it. We leave at 6 pm. Message me and let me know." With that she was gone.
As luck would have it they ran into the two girls at the library after lunch. "Hey, Rory." She said walking up to the two girls with Logan. "Hey Tori. Hey Logan. What are you doing here?" "I'm sorry, did I just see you smelling a book?" He teased.
"Anyways, who's your friend?" "Oh, Logan this is Anna. She's from Chilton I'm showing her around." "Well, highschool? Nah, I would have sworn you were a college girl." Tori had to look away to keep the girl from seeing her smile. Logan was a flirt from the word go. She never minded as long as that's all it was.
The girls giggle at his answer nearly made her laugh. The girl would remember Logan for a long time. "So, she's showing you a good time?" "I'm showing her everything important." Rory stressed the word important. "Uhm, make sure she takes you by The Pub. Local place, everyone goes there."
"I'm not taking her to a pub." Rory seemed upset by the idea. "Oh, please." Anna injected. "The Pub sounds fun." Tori noticed her eyes never left Logan. "You don't have to drink they do have coffee. Queen and I go there all the time." She saw the girl deflate at the nickname and reminder he was taken.
"It's a cold scene. Make her take you." Logan insisted. "Bring a book to sniff." "Again, what are you guys doing here?" Rory was definitely flustered now. "Got lost." Logan ever the sarcastic wit. "Don't tell anyone I was here. Ruin my rep. And it's been a pleasure, but we have to get ready for tonight." They waved and turned to leave. "He's cute." Tori couldn't help but laugh now that they were further away.
"Babe, you almost stopped the poor girls heart." He faked surprise. "Me? I was just being nice." She laughed again linking her arm with his. "Yes, and the Huntzberger charm has put many a young ladies in the ground." She teased.
Tori was a bit upset she never got a message. She assumed Rory and Anna had found something better to do that night. However, with the help of Finn and Collin, she and Logan had a performance of a lifetime to shake up her sisters well ordered life. She knew it was likely Rory was boring Anna to death since most young girls didn't dream of books, but drama on the other hand....
