Tori smiled as she helped fix Logan's bow tie. "There you go, handsome." She said as she finished tweaking the strip of cloth. "Thanks, babe." He said as he finished with his cuff links. She stepped back smoothing out her own formal wear. Trying not to let her worry over her sister ruin an event she had been looking forward to for weeks.
"You look stunning as always, Queen." He said using her hand to make her spin. After a full circle she noticed a thoughtful look on his face. "What? What is it?" She asked worriedly, looking for flaws in her dress. "You're missing something." He snapped his fingers. "I know!" He went to his bag and pulled out a box she knew hadn't been there when she packed his bag.
"Logan Huntzberger, What in the world..." Her words cut off with a gasp when he opened the the velvet box.
She had to blink back tears as she looked at the piece of jewelry that she had dreamed of owning for quite some time. She had done a Senior English project on The Great Gatsby and had fallen in love with the 20s. This headpiece was a close match for Daisy's.
She lost her battle against the tears when he spoke. "You have a place in my heart that no one else ever could." She watched as he gently picked up the hairpiece and helped her tie it on. "Two souls are sometimes created together." She said with a tearful grin.
Logan knew that book very well from her weeks of work and how closely they had related to Gatsby. "And in love before they were born." He finished. He watched smiling as she tried to stop the happy tears from ruining her make up. "I'm gonna kill you." She giggled. "You couldn't have made the unbelievably romantic gesture before I did my makeup?" She teased.
"Now where's the mayhem in that?" He smirked. She smacked his arm jokingly and went to the standing mirror. "Go make my sister presentable while I fix what you did." He bowed with a click of his heels. "As you wish, Your Majesty." She smiled and blew him a kiss in the mirror as she cleaned up her mascara.
"Logan." She said looking at him in the mirror before he made it out of the tent. He turned to look at her. "Thank you." She said with all the love in her heart. They both knew she was thanking him for more than just the gift. "Ditto." He said making her laugh and shoo him out.
