"You look like you need a little adventure." "What does that mean?" Tori laughed hearing the two bicker as they climbed. "You're just a little sheltered." Logan said politely. Tori rolled her eyes. "Babe, she's a complete hermit, don't sugar coat it."

Rory looked at her affronted when she made it to the platform. "Why? Because I haven't spent time in a Nazi prison, been stomped on by hooligans and beat up by Hell's Angels?" She asked referring to her idol reporter.

"It'll be fun." Logan said strapping into the harness. "It'll be a thrill." Tori said happily as they began strapping her harness on. "Something stupid, something bad for you. Just something different. Isn't this the point of being young?" Logan asked surprised at how different the twins were.

"It's your choice, sister." Tori said shrugging and taking her umbrella. "People can live a 100 years without really living for a minute." Logan said making Tori smile at how alike they thought. "You jump with us, it's one less minute you haven't lived." Tori said looking into her sister's eyes.

She smiled seeing the steel enter her sister's eyes. "Let's go." Rory said seriously. "That's a girl. Let's go!"

"High." Rory said looking down. "We are very high." Tori confirmed. "I've been higher." Logan said. "I meant distance from the ground." Rory clarifies. "That, too." He said with a laugh. "We went sky diving last year." Tori explained.

"This is totally safe, and it goes with your outfit." Logan said handing her the last umbrella. "Why do you look so worried?" Logan asked seeing how pale Rory was. He couldn't help but notice how Tori was almost bouncing in excitement. "We're low on champagne." Rory said smartly.

Tori laughed happy to see her sister might have a chance yet. "You can back out, you know. No one's forcing you." Logan said giving her sister one last chance to back out.

"I know." "You trust me?" Tori asked rhetorically.

"In omnia paratus! You jump, I jump, Queen. In omnia paratus! I really should have confirmed that those potatoes were okay." He said laughingly as he grabbed his girl's hand and took a leap. The stunt went off without a hitch and found the jumpers safe on the ground laughing and cheering in excitement.

"Thank God! You did good, Gilmore." Logan said safely planted on the ground. "Once-in-a-lifetime experience!" Rory said high on the adrenaline of the jump. Tori laughed remembering her first rush of adrenaline. Looking over her sister she made a split second decision. "Only if you want it to be."

They had brought Rory safely back to her dorm letting the girl get to work on her new insight into life.

It was a quick drive to their apartment before they threw their bags to the side of the door and flopped onto the couch.

"Wake me up tomorrow." Tori teased laying across the couch with Logan laying beside her with his head on her stomach. She ran her hand through his hair scratching his scalp.

"We should have some dinner." Logan said as he burrowed deeper into the couch. "We should." She agreed fixing the pillow behind her. She felt him go lax a few moments later. Neither had classes the next day so not worrying about an alarm she let the sleep drag her down.

————————————
The next night found them stuck at her grandparents house for Friday night dinner. They had gotten out of the last two so couldn't risk the surprise drop in that missing three would cause.

Tori sighed when she realized her grandfather wouldn't be there to run interference either. "It's ok, babe. In two hours we'll be on the road back to our world." Logan said like a pep talk rubbing her shoulders.

Before she could answer the doorbell rang and her mother and sister were walking in. "Oh, Logan's here. I didn't know boyfriends were allowed." Her mother said mockingly. She obviously forgot with who she was dealing.

"Well, mother, seeing as Logan has taken care of me more than you ever have and I can't drive I'm pretty sure an exception can be made." She said this in a sugar sweet voice and saw Logan cough to cover a laugh.

"Nonsense, Lorelei, Logan is family! He's always welcome to Friday dinner." Her grandmother said backing her claim. "If you ever get serious with a boy he can come too." Now it was Tori that needed to cough.

They sat down to dinner, which thankfully was a simple chicken dish she could actually enjoy. Her mother rolling her eyes and her grandmother beaming as Logan escorted her to her chair and pulled it out for her.

What surprised her was the small smile on her sister's face. "Rory, you look very nice tonight." She said surprising even herself. "Um, thank you." She said almost in question. "We should go shopping together some time."

Before Rory answered a phone rang. "Lorelei!" Her grandmother exclaimed. "What? It's not me." Her mother defended. "Oh, it's me. Sorry." Rory said a little embarrassed. "Oh I have to take this." She said looking at the ID. "I'll be quick." She left to the hall.

"That was very nice of you, Queenie." Logan whispered to her as she left. "I can be nice." She protested. "Yes, you can. You're amazing, but you usually only show that to a handful of people." He joked kissing her head.

They tuned back in to hear her grandmother interrogating her mother about Rory's call. "She certainly sounds like she's talking to a boy. Does she have a new boyfriend?!" Her grandmother was relentless.

"Did she meet someone at Yale?" Her grandmother was excited now. Tori was so glad she whole heartedly approved of Logan and his family so she never had to go through this. Tori laid her head on Logan's suit covered shoulder while she ate since her grandmother's attention wouldn't change until she got answers.

"I don't know." Her mother finally answered. "Oh, of course you know! Victoria was never this secretive about Logan!" She continued seeming to piss her mother off. Tori giggled quietly as she sat up straight taking a drink of her water.

"Sorry, that won't happen again." Rory said coming back to the table.  "So, who were you talking to?" Her grandma wasn't subtle. "Dean. You remember Dean?" Tori shook her head knowing how this would go. Her grandma would never allow that.

She looked to Logan who tilted his head in question. "Bad news." She mouthed to him. He nodded in understanding. "I didn't know you were still seeing him." "We got back together...recently." "Really?" Her grandmother wasn't happy.

"Well...that's a surprise." Her grandmother said staring down her mother. "I know. I'm floored." Her mother pretended. "He's been working crazy shifts lately and I've had so much school work. We kept missing each other so I told him to call me tonight."

"Well, I'm glad I heard it from you and didn't have to pick it up on the street somewhere." Tori and Logan looked at each other with eyebrows raised. Dinner here was always so drama filled. Logan joked it was better than any soap on tv.

"So, Are you happy with this Dean?" "Yes, I am." Rory said simply. Her grandmother grimaced and changed the subject. "Now, eat up. The fish is next. Helga makes a mean pickled herring."

Logan was speaking quickly after a look from Tori. "Emily, I'm so sorry but I forgot we promised my parents to stop by for dessert since we couldn't miss dinner with you." Her grandmother seemed to consider for a moment before nodding.

"Of course, well give my best to Mitchum and Shira, Darling." She said standing to walk them to the door. Tori looked back to the table and whispered a quick "good luck" to Rory before hightailing it out of the mansion.

As they walked to the car she clued in Logan. She might not be in Stars Hollow but her grandma kept her updated.

"So, Dean is the old high school boyfriend. He's not a bad guy but there's no way he can handle being a Gilmore. He works at a grocery store with no college which puts him out of the running for grandma." She explained.

"So this isn't going to end well." He summarized. "Ya, I'd expect something drastic happening to stop this soon."
