Victoria sat with Finn and Collin waiting for Logan to bring out her twin. It was going to be her possible initiation into the Life and Death Brigade. She couldn't say she was excited to spend more time with her sister, but this was her sister's right just as much as it was hers. She sat up when she saw Logan walking her blindfolded sister out to the car.
"Hit it." Logan told Finn being sure to be loud around his hung over friend. "Ahh." Finn flinched. "Not so loud." The Aussie complained. "You're very auditory sensitive today." Stephanie, their good friend, observed. "Oh, and your voice helps." He complained. "Hey." Was all Tori had to say. "Sorry, I'm in pain."
The others laughed silently at his reprimand. "Is the blindfold in place?" Collin worried. "Yes." Logan sighed. "I can attest to his blindfold skills." Tori said with an evil smirk. "Oh, gross." Collin complained. "I knew you were a kinky minx." Finn said. "Anonymity is crucial, Logan. Crucial." Collin stressed again, waving his hands around to see if Rory could see.
"Dear, if he hits me I'm not responsible for what I do." Tori said calmly. Collin immediately retracted his hands and Logan laughed. "What's wrong with Finn?" Her sister asked when the man groaned. "Great job with the blindfold, Logan." Collin complained. "I recognized your voices, Collin." She explained.
"Can we remove the blindfold now?" Her sister asked. "No the destination still needs to be hidden." Tori answered. "Why did we have to leave at this ungodly hour?" Finn complained. "It's 4 in the afternoon." Rory said confused. "He has a thing about the sun." Logan explained.
"It's too bright." Finn explained. "She's sharp." Stephanie complimented. "There's another girl." Rory said surprised. "I'm told we've met. Though I have no memory of it." Steph laughed. "That was a great night." Tori commented. "You were there?!" Rory said turning in the direction her voice came from.
"Does it really surprise you that you don't know things about me?" Logan wrapped his arm around Tori. "Babe, that's the lack of coffee talking. Be nice." She sighed and laid her head on his shoulder. "Oh, by the way, this is overnight." Logan said casually.
"Overnight?" Rory exclaimed. "We didn't mention that before?" Logan taunted. "Must have slipped your minds." She quipped back. "That doesn't screw up anything for you does it?" He asked flippantly. "No." "No? Loose schedule, good."
Finn piped in from the front. "We like our schedules loose, like we like our women." Finn really should have seen the smack coming from behind him. "My god it's early." He complained holding his head.
They arrived at dark. The path lit up by lanterns. Finn seemed to get his second wind. "I'm revived by the mountain air!" He said parking and running. "Make sure he doesn't run off a cliff." Tori called worried. "Steph, it's your turn." Collin said. Stephanie sighed and ran after him. "Finn, you slow down." She called after him.
They grabbed a lantern from the table and made their way to the meeting spot.
Tori smiled when they got to the camping site. She loved their monthly meetings. It was a show of wealth, but she would take it over sleeping on the ground always. She broke from Logan who was showing her sister to her tent and headed to their own to change.
Logan came into the tent moments later. "Did you tell her the rules?" She asked laying out their proper attire for tonight's theme. An all white party of the 1920's with no E's allowed to be said. She had no idea how they had come up with it but it was amazingly creative and she loved it. "Now where would the fun be if I told her the rules?" Logan smirked.Tori turned towards him with a smile. "Oh, Mr. Huntzburger, you do know how to show a lady a good time."
When they joined the party she saw her sister walking around trying to ask questions and shook her head. She had to laugh at the members not cutting her any slack yet still somehow giving her the rules. Rory finally found Stephanie and she overheard their conversation. Ok, she eavesdropped.
"The way they talk to him makes him seem..." "Cute?" Stephanie asked. "No...well yes." "Don't even think it. Tori would rip you to shreds." Tori smirked hearing that, it was very true. "No! I'm just a reporter." "I bet you're a good reporter. And a good girl." Steph teased. "Oh dear, I'm talking to you. I should not be talking to you." Stephanie said walking away.
Tori watched her sister head towards another group trying to get information. "What's wrong, My lady?" Logan asked in her ear. "You look dour. That's not you." He was right, she loved the anarchy and throwing away of the rules she'd always had to live by these meet ups represent. She refused to let her sister take this from her.
Seeing the group Rori was trying to talk to turn and leave as one she laughed. "You know. I am having a good night." Logan chuckles seeing what made her happy. "Oh, my evil queen. How I love you." He said breaking character for a moment.
-_-_-_-_
Later that evening Logan had somehow convinced her to come along when he checked to make sure her sister was still alive. "Word is you got dragged off by a bear." Logan said in greeting. Tori laughed at the idea. She sat beside Logan and he handed her one of the plates of food he was carrying.
"No bears, just collecting my thoughts." Her sister answered. "Thanks, I've eaten." Her sister said seeing the plate of food. "Good. This is for me." Logan said making Tori laugh again. "Sorry you're not getting much from the group." Tori rolled her eyes, she wasn't. Hopefully her sister would leave.
As her sister went off on a rant asking questions Tori sighed and stood. Walking back to get a new water. Going back to where she had left the two she decided enough was enough. "Logan, you coming?" She asked as the singing started. "I'm coming." He said walking back up the path.
"Have fun with my sister?" She asked sarcastically, screw the rules. "Queenie, are you jealous?" He asked amused. Tori was anything but amused. "I mean it wouldn't be the first or fifth time that someone has decided that Rory is better than me." She said with tears in her eyes.
Logan quickly sobered up. Lightly grasping her chin and making her look at him. "Victoria Gilmore-Hayden." The shock of him saying her full name gave him her attention. "Don't you ever doubt that you are the love of my life. You are the one who keeps me sane. You are the only one I fully trust in this world. I call you Queen because that's what you are, my queen."
Tori gave him a watery smile. "I'm sorry that people have made you feel like you aren't perfect. Because you are, you are my past, present, and future and you get any other thoughts out of that pretty head." He said kissing said head.
"I love you, Logan." She whispered.
"I love you, Queen. Now let's go listen to some drunken singing." He said with a wink making her smile.
