🐱🐇 slight angst

Hyunjin was working on a project with her group.
"I remember, our teacher said something about us having a new member to help with the project?" Han Jisung said as he printed the accounting report.
"Hi! The teacher assigned me to-" The girl paused and looked at Hyunjin. "To uhm, help with your project!" Thee girl smiled at the group members.
Hyunjin just looked down to avoid any eye contact with the girl.
Hyunjin's group members didn't know that this girl is Hyunjin's ex.
They just knew Hyunjin's ex's name was Heejin.
Jisung saw the awkwardness of Hyunjin and Heejin, so, he tried to lighten the mood. He didn't really know what was up, but was eager to find out how his best friend and this girl are so awkward with each other.
"Why don't we introduce ourselves? Hi! I'm Han Jisung." The squirrel looking boy introduced himself to the girl who was standing in front of the group.
The others introduced themselves and let the girl speak.
"Hi, I'm Jeon Heejin! Nice to meet you!"
The girl smiled.
They looked at heejin in shock as Jisung looked at Hyunjin in concern. They smiled to not make anything awkward.
"Nice to meet you, Heejin!" they said.
It was a little awkward, but with Han Jisung being approachable, it went well.
Hyunjin and Heejin lasted 2 years before splitting up.
It went really well at first, but Heejin's parents made her study abroad for 3 years.
Because of the distance, the two didn't really know what to feel anymore. Well, maybe hyunjin. But Heejin had always loved Hyunjin.
She never stopped.
But Heejin couldn't do anything about it anymore. Hyunjin didn't love Heejin the way she used to. She didn't love Heejin the way Heejin still does with her.
Right now, they're just strangers with memories.
They went, from stangers to friends, friends into lovers, and strangers again. ;)
