Makoto had a very stressful week. He had been feeling frustrated and has been a bit moody the past week. Asahina told Kyoko about Makoto's sudden mood swings, and how she would need to be very, very patient with him this time.

So, Kyoko went to Makoto's house, ready for her grouchy boyfriend. She knocked, waiting for a messy-haired Makoto. To Kyoko's surprise, he never came to open the door. Luckily, she had a spare key that Makoto had given her. She walked in seeing him overworking himself.

"Kyoko...?" Makoto said slowly, surprised by the sudden appearance of his girlfriend. Kyoko sighed, clearly disappointed seeing Makoto overworking himself. "I see we switched roles this time around?" Kyoko said teasingly, while Makoto chuckled.

"I guess so!" He said, with enthusiasm in his voice. Kyoko thought to herself, 'He's still so cheerful even when he's like this...'  Kyoko patted Makoto's head while Makoto turned his laptop off.

"Why are you here, Kyoko...?" Makoto asked, clearly confused when she had walked into his house. "Asahina told me about your mood swings, and how you haven't had the best week either. So, I decided to check on you. Knowing how you are, you would be doing something absurd, like this." She responded, pointing at his laptop.

Makoto felt embarrassed, but Kyoko was right. Then he noticed something off about what she said. Something that caught his attention, which was when she said, "You haven't had the best week, either."

"Wait..." Makoto managed to get out. Kyoko was confused, "What's wrong, Makoto?"

"What do you mean by, "You haven't had the best week, either." Did you have a disappointing weekend as well?" He asked.

Kyoko thought, 'Shoot...he caught onto me.' "I don't know what you're talking about, Makoto. I think you might've heard me wrong." Kyoko said, reassuringly.

"I might've..." Makoto replied, unconvinced by what Kyoko had told him. Kyoko noticed his frown and sighed. She went to sit down by Makoto and gripped his hand. "Don't worry Makoto. Trust me, I didn't have a bad week." Kyoko said, trying to comfort her boyfriend, so he wouldn't be worried. Makoto started to tear up.

"Kyoko, how come you never tell me if you're stressed out...?"  Makoto said, clearly hurt by Kyoko not telling him how she truly feels. Kyoko was surprised, to say the least. She wasn't expecting this from her usual optimistic, enthusiastic, and hopeful boyfriend. Kyoko felt guilt rise into her heart, seeing the person she loved the most tearing up because of her.

"Kyoko..." Makoto started, "...Do you trust me?" He said slowly, but clearly. While he mustered up the courage to say that a few tears rolled down his cheek. Kyoko... Kyoko... Kyoko... She felt horrible.  Makoto was waiting for a response from his girlfriend, but he never got one. Kyoko felt, startled by his question, and was left speechless. Kyoko thought to herself, 'O-Of course I do... you're the first person I've ever trusted like this.' Though she could only think about saying it, she didn't have the strength to tell her beloved Makoto. The truth is, she never told him about her troubles for this same reason. She didn't want to see her boyfriend hurting and worrying about...her.

Kyoko wasn't able to muster up her courage, but she hugged Makoto. He was a bit disappointed since she never responded, but Makoto was fine with it. As long as Kyoko wasn't sad, he would be fine with anything. He rubbed Kyoko's back as a way to comfort her. Kyoko pulled away from the embrace and cupped Makoto's cheeks in her hands. She leaned in, and so did Makoto. They locked lips and stayed like that for as long as they could.

Makoto was running out of breath and so was Kyoko, but it didn't let her stop from pulling Makoto deeper into the kiss.  Makoto was completely out of breath and tapped Kyoko's shoulder as a signal for that. Finally, Kyoko separated from Makoto and a string of saliva was hanging from both of their mouths. While Kyoko looked at Makoto teasingly, Makoto was definitely flustered.

He hugged Kyoko in an attempt of hiding his flushed face, but Kyoko wasn't having any of that today. She was able to make Makoto stop his embrace and leaned in again. Makoto was turning very hot, and Kyoko had noticed this. Kyoko stopped kissing him, and he was gasping for air.

"Makoto, you get really flustered huh?" Kyoko said, smiling.

(A/N: I know the ending was a bit random, but I was sort of thinking of random things while writing this. Other than that, I hope you enjoyed this one-shot, and I greatly appreciate that you read this. Thank you!)
