I sip my morning coffee and watch Adonis eat his food, "Morning love...I see that you're already drinking coffee." Sarah said, getting the carton of eggs and some bacon. I smiled, "You know me, Sarah, I can't go a day without coffee." I said, finishing my coffee. "Right, no, of course, you can't go on without coffee. It's an addiction by now," Sarah said, cracking up the eggs in a bowl; I chuckled and watched Adonis leave through the doggy door for the backyard. "How's working at the big building?" Sarah asked.

A soft sigh leaves my lips as I washed my mug and place it in the cup cabinet, "It's interesting, not quite what I expected it to be." I said with a faint smile. I grabbed my things off the chair, "What do you mean by that?" She asked with a chuckle. "Well, it's very calm and quiet. You know most companies are fast pace and loud," I implied, pulling out the car keys. Sarah laughs, "That's because it's an office and not a club Lexi, you'll get used to it soon." She said, toasting some bread. I bit my lip and nodded, "Well, at least my car is out of the shop; I'll see you guys later." I said, walking out the front door.

Driving to the company was just a twenty-minute drive. It felt shorter than taking a cab to work. I parked the dark grey Honda Civic on the first floor of the parking garage; a sigh escaped as I locked the car and headed toward the elevator. I wait for the elevator as I kept my gaze on the clock; I really have to break things off with Jungkook. "Good morning," A voice from the right side broke my train of thought; I turned to see a tall, pale man with dirty blonde hair slicked back and piercing green eyes staring down at me. My breath hitched, "Good morning." I said with a faint smile. "You must be the new Co-assistant, Alexie. I'm Aaron Morberg; I'm from the Data Team." His little accent made it clear he wasn't from here.

I nodded, "Lexie is fine," I said. The elevator doors slide open before he can say a word; I look to see Mr. Hwang's son with two of his bodyguards. Aaron gave him a small bow before stepping inside; I followed behind him. "Good morning Ms. Romańo. How's the office?" He said with a small smile; I looked at him. "Morning, Mr. Hwang...it's interesting," I said faintly. I exchanged a small glance with Aaron, who was sulking; I would be considered a liar if I didn't admit that Aaron Morberg was very attractive. Mr. Hwang's son was also attractive. I would say he was more gorgeous than Aaron.

I bit my bottom lip as I gazed at the clock; Hwang Hyunjin chuckled. "Mr. Hwang? Huh, that's new..." He muttered. "I prefer you call me Hyunjin or Sam, whichever suits you." He said; I looked at him and chuckled, "What about you? Which one is more comfortable for you?" I asked. He gave me a dazed look; I watched the doors open on the third floor. "I'll see you around, Alexie," Aaron said, walking off; I smiled at him. The doors closed again, "Hyunjin is fine," Hyunjin said. I nodded, "Okay," I said.

"I see you've already made a friend...Aaron Morberg," Hyunjin said with a bitter tone; I chuckled. "I merely met him today; I wouldn't consider him a friend," I said; Hyunjin laughed. The doors open on the fifth floor, "Well, this is my stop." I said, stepping out of the elevator. "See you around, Romańo," Hyunjin smirked as the doors closed. I let out a breath and shook the thoughts in my head; God, they both were imitating me the way the bodyguards were.

Mrs. Wickenburg walked into the office; I smiled at her. "Good morning Ms. Romańo. I hope you're prepared for today's meeting." She said. I gave her a perplexed look. "Meeting? There's a meeting..." I muttered while looking at my calendar, "Right, of course, I have everything set." I said, grabbing the project folder and binder. Mrs. Wickenburg smiles and heads to the door, "Everyone is heading to the conference room." She said. I grabbed my phone and followed her out of the office I was given.

"Who else will be at the meeting?" I asked the elevator doors open as we stepped inside. "Cheryl Bae from the Designer Room, Taehyung Kim from the Photograph office, Aaron Morberg from the Data room, and you, Mr. Hwang's keeper of projects." Mrs. Wickenburg said with a smile; we got to the eleventh floor. We walked out of the elevator to hear everyone attending the meeting whispering; they hushed the moment they saw Mrs. Wickenburg.  "Mr. Hwang and his guest will be arriving shortly now; Cheryl, you, and Mr. Kim will escort Mr. Hwang to the meeting while everyone sets up." Mrs. Wickenburg said.

Cheryl had bright red hair and ivory-freckled skin; she nodded before leaving with a tall yet quiet man with brown wavy hair. I look at Aaron, who seemed to be looking at me already, "Let's set up the conference room." Mrs. Wickenburg said as we entered the room. Aaron was setting up the projector and laptop; I laid out a copy of the company's new project and sales documents.

I kept catching Aaron watching my every move as we set up the conference room; his gaze was very intense and strange. It was scary, to say the least. I see Mrs. Wickenburg open the doors; Cheryl and Taehyung follow behind Mr. Hwang and the guest. "Good morning, everyone." Mr. Hwang said with a smile; we all bowed. His son Hyunjin entered the room three minutes after his father; I sat beside Aaron and Cheryl.

Mr. Hwang sat beside his son, "Mr. Baek and Mr. Park; we are here to approve the new launch for HWANG Enterprises. A product that we haven't done in years, a product that my son decided the company should launch and bring a promising sale between the three of us." Mr. Hwang smiled as Aaron clicked on the slide from his laptop. I opened the binder as Mrs. Wickenburg had everyone open their folder containing a copy of the paperwork. "This project was finally completed, and I must thank my new Co-Assistant, Ms. Romańo. She was able to complete the final touches of this product." Mr. Hwang said. I smiled brightly and gave him a slight bow.

Hyunjin looked my way as his father thanked me; I felt my lips tug on a small smile. His pink plumps formed a sharp smile, "As you can see here, this is an estimate of how our sales will become once the product is launched. I hope Mr. Baek and Mr. Park; I hope you agree to this project and give us a date for the product's launch." Mr. Hwang said, crossing his arms and leaning into the chair. Hyunjin glanced at the elderly men dressed in black and grey suits, "Mr. Hwang, you are giving us no option but to agree with this project, this is indeed a new product the company hasn't done in years, and I must say what a clever idea." Mr. Baek smirked as the three elderly men burst into laughter.

Ooh boy, my heart dropped to the pit of my stomach as my phone vibrated against the table. I acted quickly and placed it under my thigh; I earned a stare from Hyunjin and Aaron. Mr. Hwang smiles, "Well, we'll launch that product in a week." He said. Mrs. Wickenburg finished typing and followed the three elderly CEOs out of the conference room. Leaving us with Hyunjin, "Meeting dismissed." He said as Cheryl and Taehyung began to get their things.

Aaron was unplugging his USB from the main laptop, "Romańo, is this company to your liking?" Hyunjin asked as he watched me get all the paperwork in a pile. I gave him a faint smile, "It's not what I expected it to be, but again, this is an Enterprise and not a club." I said, closing the binder. Hyunjin knit his brows in confusion, "Did you work at a club before here?" He asked. I nodded, "Yes, I worked at Seo's Nightclub for two years straight." I said. Aaron grabbed his book bag and laptop, "See ya, Aaron," I said as he walked out of the conference room.

Hyunjin chuckles, "You worked in a nightclub and decided to get an internship here? What made you quit?" He asked. I bite the inside of my cheek; I feel my blood boil at the thought of Jungkook. "I decided to apply for an internship during my business career path and quit the nightclub because of my b—ex-boyfriend," I said. Hyunjin's gaze darkened. "Ex-boyfriend? Huh, strange that a woman like you would let any man control your life." He implied I let out a small laugh. "There's no way in the hell would I let Jungkook control my life." I blurted out; I came to my senses that I had revealed too much.

I swallowed hard and grabbed my things, "Well, it was lovely talking to you, but I should get going." I said, walking to the doors. "Alexie..." He said my name; I looked at him. Hyunjin got up from the chair and walked over to me, "You are a fascinating person, and I'm glad that you know you're worth." He said his index finger and thumb grazed my chin softly. My heart ramped against the ribcage, "You pique my interest." He whispered. Goosebumps formed on my skin as his lips were close to my earlobe, and his voice was raspy and attractive. Hyunjin walks out of the conference room; I bite my bottom lip. Did he just—wow, okay.
