Part 8- Frenemies

James Pov—
Omg did she just say she loves me? What do I do? I mean, I do love her more than anything, I need to tell her to or it will be too late. She looks like she is just as shocked as I am, maybe she didn't mean it...but I'm still going to tell her, I need to tell her. "What did you say?" As I grab her chin to look at me. "Umm, I love you" as she bits her bottom lip locking her gorgeous eyes with mine. "I love you more" as I pull her in with a passionate, genuine kiss, not wanting to let go.

Back to Beck—
Oh my, this man is something else, I never want to to end. He makes me feel like I'm the only girl in the world, I don't know what I would do if I didn't have him here with me. For him to say I love you two is amazing, and came out of us naturally, no thinking about it, just wanted to come out. We pull away still holding each other "lets explore" as I start running still holding his hand to follow. He made the worst day of my life into a beautiful thing.

Couple day later, I'm in my office working, trying to get my files done when I hear shouting outside my door. "Go to hell James, do you really think I give a shit" I open my door and it is coming from James's office. "Eva, I keep telling you I'm done with you and I have a girlfriend" as he isn't shouting just simply in a calm voice. I knock on the door and make my way in "is there a problem here?" As "Eva" turns and looks at me with a disgusted look "yeah the problem is you" as she walks up to me and pushes me into the door never breaking eye contact. "What the hell bitch" as I push her back.

"You don't want to mess with me, I'll just tell you that right now" as I gave her a death glare wanted her to try something else, anything else. She looks back at James "this is what you wanted when you could've gotten this" as she moves her hands up and down her body. James is about to say something but I cut him off before he can even get the chance. "Ok, I don't care who you are, or why you're here but if you don't leave right now, I'll throw you out myself and it won't be pleasant" as I'm point out the door to the elevators.

She turns back and looks at me "oh really, you really think he loves you" as she glances at him and back at me, "he's just using you for sex, then when he get done with you he will throw you aside" as she gives me a bitchy smile, I look at James waiting for him to say something, anything. "Eva, she's different, she isn't a hooker like you are" as he lets out a laugh after he says that. "Besides you don't know her, and frankly you were a one night stand, that I wish didn't happen, now please leave or she'll make you" as he gets up from his chair.

I couldn't stop looking at James, he is so much more than what he use to be. But as soon as I look back at her she punches me right in the face, as I touch where she punch I look at her "that's what you get bitch" and she spits in my face. That's when I lost it, all my life I've been pushed around and walked on, I'm fucking tired of it. "That's it bitch" as I punch her in the face and she falls to the ground.
As she runs up at me grabbing my hair and I pull hers. I gave her another punch in the face "you like that whore, huh want another" as I grab her neck and hair making her scream. James was just sitting on the front of his desk watching me beat the shit outta of her.

Steve and a guy I've never met before runs in and separate us. "What the hell is going on" as Steve grabs me and pulls me off of her. "YOU WILL NEVER HAVE HIM BITCH, IF I EVER SEE YOU NEAR HIM ILL KILL YOU" as Steve is pulling me out of the office into mine. James rushes in behind us seeing the bruises she gave me on my face. "Hey you ok" as he turns my face to see them clearly I couldn't help but laugh, "have you seen her face, worse than mine" as I give a wink, seeing the guy take her to the elevators. The guy comes back, after throwing that bitch out, "Jeez, that was the best catfight I've ever seen, especially when your girl kicks ass" as he gives Steve and James a high-five while laughing.

"I'm Sam by the way, this was the best time to meet you" as he takes out his hand, I shake it couldn't help chuckle with him. "I'm Beck it's nice to meet you too" looking at James leaning my head in his chest, happy that bitch was gone, and away from James. James leans into my ear and whispers "that was really hot by the way" making me blush and a little shy. "Well we were going to have a guys night tonight, but do you want to join?" As Sam is still impress with me. "Oh no it's ok, I'll just head home" as I grab my things, giving James a kiss, and head out the door.

I'm at James's house for the night, he wanted me to stay at his place because the whole thing with my father and I don't blame him. It is getting really late so I text James to make sure he's paying attention to the time.

Beck: hey baby, I'm heading to bed, don't be out too late, I miss you 😘

James: ........ don't worry beautiful, I'll be home soon. 😉

As I hear the door close downstairs, that was quick. As I make my way downstairs, everything was still dark, and I got a little more worried, and scared so I decided to call James. "Hey, are you home?" With a worried tone. "No I'm leaving Steve's house now" my heart sank and I felt like I couldn't move. "J-James someone is in the h-house" as I'm trying so hard not to be loud. "Get in the bedroom and lock the door, I'm 10 minutes away. Call 911" as I slowly try to go back up the stairs being quiet as I can, then I see a black shadow person staring at me, my eyes started to tear up.

As soon as the figure charged at me I ran like I've never done in my life. Got to the bedroom and close the door but before I could lock it the person pushes the door open making me fall to the ground, I try to get up basically crawling to the bathroom, to hide, but then the person stabs me with a knife to my side. "What do you want?" Basically screaming at them. They take off their hood, and it is Eva. "You will kill my huh, not if I kill you first" as she lifts up the knife to stab me again, cover my face with my hand not ready to face my fate.

Then a gunshot went off from behind her, seeing that it's James, and he save my life. As she looks down to her chest, filling up with blood and drops dead to the ground. Still holding my side wound, trying to stop the bleeding. James comes to me holding my head. "I got you, stay with me Beck" as I look into his eyes and fill with happiness, knowing he's by my side. My eyes start to get heavy, and I couldn't keep them open no matter how hard I tried, and all I can see is nothing but darkness.

James Pov—
Oh god she isn't opening her eyes, I hurry up and put her over my shoulders rushing to the car to get to the hospital, as I'm driving as fast as I can, I check her pulse and she is still breathing but barley. I finally make it there "Help, I need help, my girlfriend got stabbed in the side" as a whole bunch of nurses rush over to me and grab her and put her on a table and rushes her to the ER. "You have to stay here, we will let you know on any updates" as a nurse stops me by the ER doors. A few minutes turns into hours, sitting in the waiting room, hoping she is ok, I need her to be ok. I love her so much, I don't want to lose her, I can't, we haven't even started our journey. I put my head in my hands and start to cry thinking I might lose the one good thing in my life.
