Convergence Infinites: Sonic X

Circus Park

Shadow followed Black Doom's trail to a theme park created by Dr. Eggman. So far Shadow had looked high and low, only running into Eggman's mechs.
After yet another uneventful search, Shadow snarled in frustration: this was more annoying than Sonic on sugar.
"Where's that damn Emerald?!" Shadow muttered darkly, and looked up to see a small, blue jet flying.
"Isn't that..." Shadow searched his memory.... "Tails?"

Indeed it was. The young yet incredibly intelligent Mobian fox friend of Sonic's was in the cockpit of the Tornado vehicle.
It was powered by a white Chaos Emerald.
"Ah! Looks like my search here has a reward after all!" Shadow said with a smirk.
But then Tails' craft was shot down by Eggman's defenses.

"Damn it all!" Shadow growled, and headed off.

Shadow finally made it to Tails' crash site. The Tornado wasn't damaged too badly, but the Chaos Emerald had fallen out during the descent.
"Lovely" Shadow muttered. "Why is it always so difficult?"

Only then did Tails see Shadow.

"Hello Shadow!" he greeted politely.
Shadow nodded in greeting. "Why are you here alone? It's dangerous."
Tails frowned and his ears drooped a little. "I can take care of myself" he said in a sad tone.
Shadow laughed harshly. "Explain this, then" he said, gesturing at the downed craft.
"It shouldn't be difficult." Tails said. "I just need to reroute the engine to the core exhaust conduits, and reboot the sequencer for the cooler, and..."
Shadow growled impatiently. "Why are you here?" he repeated.
Tails looked back a bit nervously. "Egg-Eggman took many Power Rings to p-power this th-theme park" he said. "I thought I could g-get them b-back on m-my own..."
Shadow rolled his eyes, and gave Tails' about a hundred Power Rings he'd gathered in the park, leaving Shadow with still ninety.
