Asami pov
"So...I saw your training..." I raised an eyebrow hands in front of me from blocking the kicks Shoto kept sending my way. We were taking a small breather in the fight "Were you also practicing a special move or was it basic training?"
"Oh, it was basic training! Sensei suggested that Kichirou and I get used to our new and adapted quirks." I rushed my words out at the end as Shoto came at me mid sentence. I jumped over his low kick also aiming to high kick him since I was in the air. I landed a hit to his chest. He stumbled then landed on his back on the floor.
"Right... you're not as short as before..." Shoto sat up sighing softly as he stared at me "That attempt used to miss. I'm so used to not having to dodge your kicks." he sighed again pushing himself up before he got into his stance. I followed suit.
"I've gown nii-chan, I'm taller now!"
"Not that tall." I ran at him restarting our quirkless combat.
"Hey! I never told you take tou-san's height gene! And who knows, I can be taller than you even!" that got him to smirk
"Only in your dreams." and with that I ended up on the floor in a headlock.
"I give." I sighed pouting as I sat up. "Dang it... I lost again..." I dropped my head trying to catch my breath. Talking and fighting does not go well at all. I loose my breath way too fast when I talk during a fight.
"That's good."
"How is that good Sho-nii? I need to get stronger not stay weak..." I huffed dropping myself back onto the ground staring up at the orange sky "I have to get stronger."
"But you have." Blue and grey eyes looked down at me blocking the view of the sky "It simply means I have grown stronger as well. The stronger you are, the more I have to train to be above that. How else am I to protect you?" he placed his head on mine cooling me off with his quirk.
"I...I never want to feel as helpless as I was all those times, onii-san. I still dream of them and feel that I've let them down."
"You have not." I frowned about to protest "The day you let them down, is the day you've given up. It is the day, you stop fighting. However..." his cold hands were on my hair playing softly with them, calming my mind "My little sunshine, my heart, my fighting spirit, you have not conceded. You have not stopped fighting. And for that they are as proud of you as I am." I teared up smiling up at Shoto.
"When did you get so good with words?" he hummed a ghost of a smile on his face as well.
"I picked up some from Midoriya."
"I should buy him soba for being your friend."
"Can I have too?"
"Can I warm it?"
"No!" I burst out into laughter as nii-san's betrayed look.

"Ah, you're getting faster at summoning your black flames. Now if you can just stop throwing yourself off the edge..." sensei sighed as I gave him a smile.
"I won't fall!... maybe..."
"PLEASE DON'T!!" I turned away from sensei to see that Bakugou was the one below me this time. I smiled seeing his attack until the rock fell off.
"Hey! Heads up!!" confused I looked down to see that the rock was heading for All Might. I was about to react and throw the rock off course but someone got there before me smashing it to pieces. I couldn't see who it was at first but once the smoke cleared it showed it was, oh Midoriya!
