The Forgotten Mikaelsons (Slow Updates)

Chapter 4

The lacrosse team has gathered on the lacrosse field, where the players are warming up by passing the ball back and forth as other students congregate in the bleachers to watch the team play. Scott, Kaleb, and Stiles are in the middle of a conversation as they quickly jog toward the field. In a change in dynamics from the previous night, it is now Stiles who is out of breath and trying to keep up with Scott and Kaleb, who seems unfazed by the exertion.

"But if you two play, I'll have no one to talk to on the bench. Are you two really gonna do that to your best friend?" Stiles said to Scott and Kaleb. It's clear by Scott and Kaleb's tone of voice that, while they feel bad for that side effect of potentially making first line, their not going to be talked out of trying out. "We can't sit out again. Our whole life is sitting on the sidelines." Scott told Stiles.

Scott and Kaleb drops their bags near the bench. "This season, we'll make first line." Kaleb told him. Scott and Kaleb is distracted by the sight of Allison and Emma sitting down in the bleachers with the girls so they can watch the team play. Allison and Emma smiles at them, but before they can smile back, Coach Bobby Finstock appears in front of them and yells their names.

"McCall! Mikealson!" Coach yelled. "Yeah?" They asked in unison. Coach roughly tosses a lacrosse sticks with much bigger net and bigger helmets to Scott and Kaleb, who catches them after they smack them on the chest. Scott's and Kaleb's eyes narrow in confusion.

"You're both goal." He said. Scott and Kaleb frown. "We've never played." Kaleb said. " I know-- scoring some shots will give the boys a confidence boost. It's a first-day-back thing." Coach said. Coach smacks Scott and Kaleb on the shoulders for emphasis. "Get 'em energized! Fired up!" Coach yelled. It is clear by the look on Scott and Kaleb's face that they don't have a good feeling about this.

"What about us?" Kaleb asked. Coach looks at them then said. "Try not to take any in the face." Coach smacks Scott and Kaleb lightly on the cheek with the palm of his hand before turning toward the field to start the try-outs. "Let's go! Come on!" Coach yelled.

In the stands, Lydia looks at Kaleb and Scott curiously, as though she had never noticed him before, and Emma and Allison is staring at them as well. Scott and Kaleb reluctantly takes their places in the goal and prepare for practice to start. Just then, their superhuman hearing kicks in once again, allowing them to listen in on Allison, Emma, and Lydia's conversation. "Who is that?" Allison asked. Allison jerks her head in Kaleb's direction. "Him? I'm not sure who he is. Why?" Lydia asked. Emma looked at Allison. "That is my cousin Kaleb Mikealson." She told Allison. She smiled in return.

Unfortunately for Kaleb and Scott, the fact that their distracted and their extra-sensitive ears cause them to flinch and cover their ears in pain when the assistant coach blows the whistle to start the practice. This makes them prime targets for Jackson, who takes a shot at the goal while Kaleb and Scott is still recovering. The ball hits Scott right in the front of his helmet with so much force that he's knocked backwards onto the ground. Coach Finstock, Jackson, and the rest of the team members immediately start laughing and making fun of him. Kaleb helps him up.

"Are you ok?" Kaleb asked Scott which he got a nod in return. "Hey, way to catch with your face, McCall!" Jackson taunted. Scott, now determined to prove himself, stands to his feet and shakes out his shoulders in preparation for the next shot. The next player tosses the ball towards him, and Scott catches it easily, to the point where he's visibly stunned that he was able to do so. This sentiment is shared by all the rest of the teammates, Stiles and Kaleb included, who then cheers happily for their friend. "Yeah!!!" Stiles yelled.

The second, third, fourth, and fifth shots are caught by Scott and Kaleb just as easily, and Coach Finstock simply stares at Scott and Kaleb with his mouth open as though he can't believe what he's seeing. Allison and Emma smiles when they see Scott and Kaleb's performance, and even Lydia is clearly impressed by what she sees. Scott and Kaleb's hearing once again picks up on their conversation while they get ready for the next shot.

"They seems like they're pretty good." Allison said. For once, Lydia isn't putting on her mean-girl act or pretending to be someone she's not when she replies to Allison's statement. "Yeah, very good." Lydia said. Emma stared at Scott. Then looked at Kaleb. Clary poked her and mouthed werewolf. Emma's eyes widened. They grabbed their bags and dragged Alex away from the field. They sent a look to Kaleb. Who nodded and snuck away with them.

Flash back (Clary's 10th birthday)

Clary was walking home from the library when she was grabbed and dragged to an alley. She kicked and screamed until he let her go. She ran with him chasing her when she grabbed a poll and hit him in the head with it.

She killed him. Her whole body went into pain as her bones started to break. She broke her wolf curse and turned. She ran into the woods until her uncle finn found her when he was hunting. She carried her home and waited for her to turn back.

When she woke up her uncle finn helped her. Through every full moon.
