Scott, Stiles, and Clary have just crossed the creek in the nature preserve as they attempt to find both the top half of the body Scott found the night before as well as the inhaler he dropped in the process. The three are talking about the day's practice as their feet get wet in the water.
"I-I don't know what it was. It was like I had all the time in the world to catch the ball. And that's not the only weird thing. I-I can hear stuff I shouldn't be able to hear. Smell things." Scott told them. Clary looked at him. "Smell things? Like what?" Clary asked.
"Like the mint mojito gum in Stiles' pocket." Scott said. Stiles makes a face as though he thinks Scott is crazy. "I don't even have any mint mojito--" Stiles checks the inner breast pocket of his blazer and finds, much to his and Clary's surprise, that there is a single piece of folded-up mint mojito gum, just as Scott sensed. Scott raises both of his arms to the side as if to say, "I told you so." Stiles and Clary considers this for a moment before they continue.
"So all this started with the bite?" Clary asked. Stiles and Clary seem to find this intriguing, while Scott, ever the nurse's son, is concerned that something is wrong with him. "What if it's like an infection? Like, my body's flooding with adrenaline before I go into shock or something?" Scott said with worry. Stiles and Clary look at each other. They get small smirks on their faces before trying to make themselves look as serious as possible, which Scott, who is walking in front of them, doesn't catch.
"You know what? We actually think we've heard of this-- it's a specific kind of infection." Stiles said. "Are you serious?" Scott said with concern. "Yeah. Yeah, I think it's called lycanthropy." Clary says. Scott, still not realizing that Stiles and Clary are messing with him, starts to panic.
"What's that? Is that bad?" Scott panics. Stiles and Clary try not to laugh. "Oh, yeah, it's the worst. But only once a month." Stiles said. "Once a month?" Scott asks confused. "Mm-hmm. On the night of the full moon." Clary said. Her and Stiles look at eachother and smirk. "Aroooo!" They fake-howl like a wolf, and Scott, annoyed, shoves Stiles away, causing Stiles and Clary to giggle in amusement.
"Hey, you're the one who heard a wolf howling!" Clary said. "Hey, there could be something seriously wrong with me!" Scott said. Clary blocked out the rest of their conversation. Should i tell them about me, my cousin, and my uncle. She asked herself.
"What are you doing here?" A voice said bring Clary out if her thoughts. When she seen a man in his early twenties with pale skin, black hair, a black leather jacket, and a scowl appears in front of them.
"Mate." She whispers to herself looking at him. He looked at her and stared at her. Then looks at the boys. "This is private property." Derek said to them glancing at Clary. "Uh, sorry, man, we didn't know." Stiles said in fear. Derek's attention is focused on Clary and Scott, who picks up where Stiles left off to try to relieve the tension. "Yeah, we were just looking for something, but..." Scott was about to continue until Derek glares at him, after which point Scott loses his nerve and drops the subject.
"Uh, forget it." Clary says. Suddenly, Derek tosses Scott's inhaler at him before turning and heading back the way he came without a word, giving Scott and Clary one last look and seemingly paying Stiles no attention whatsoever. Scott sighs and gets ready to turn back the opposite direction. "Um... All right, come on, I gotta get to work." Scott said. Before Scott can move, Stiles holds him his hand to physically stop him from walking away.
"Dude, that was Derek Hale!" Stiles said. Clary's eyes widened. Her old babysitter's brother. When Scott looks at Stiles blankly, Stiles' expression becomes incredulous. "You remember, right? He's only like a few years older than us." Stiles said. Scott frowns. "Remember what?" He asked. "His family. They all burned to death in a fire, like, ten years ago." Stiles said. Clary looked like she was about to cry. She was close to the hales she met them all except Derek. Scott looked at her and hit stiles. Stiles looked at Clary and muttered a sorry.
"I wonder what he's doing back." Scott said. Stiles scoffs, as though he thinks that nothing good can come of it, before him and Clary start walking away. "Come on." Stiles said. Stiles finally turns back, and Scott, still looking toward where Derek headed out, slowly follows behind them.

Night has fallen, and another thunderstorm has just started up as Kaleb and Scott walk to the front entrance of the animal clinic where they work as veterinary technicians. Kaleb looks outside with a concerned expression before locking the door and turning the sign on the door so it reads "CLOSED" instead of "OPEN".
In the employee bathroom, Scott has just set a bottle of hydrogen peroxide and some bandages on the shelf above the sink before lifting his shirt to change his dressing. However, when he peels away the tape and bloody gauze covering the bite he sustained the previous evening, he is stunned to find that it has already miraculously healed in less than one full day, with no scar or any mark whatsoever to indicate he had been injured at all. Scott and Kaleb gapes at Scott in the reflection of the mirror for a moment while they ponder this situation.
After Scott apparently shrugging off the strange healing of his wounds, he gets back to work. While Kaleb gets nervous and texts Clary about it. He can't be. He thought. Scott's in the middle of dragging a large bag of cat food into the "cat clinic" when he greets the cats who are boarded there. "Hey, kitties." He said.
Suddenly, the cats get extremely stirred up and start growling, meowing, and pawing at the cages in an attempt to get out to either flee or fight. Scott is so overwhelmed by the bizarre situations that keep happening to him that he hurries quickly out of the cat clinic before any of the boarders can hurt themselves or him.
Scott and Kaleb are just about to close up the clinic for the night when they senses something outside. Just then, a soaking wet Allison appears at the front door, crying and frantically pounding on the door with her fist. After Kaleb gets over the shock of seeing her so unexpectedly, he unlocks and opens the front door before greeting her awkwardly, unsure of what he should be expecting. Scott leaves them alone and goes home. "Hi." Kaleb says.
It's obvious that Allison is distraught about something, and she wastes no time rambling anxiously about what just happened to her. "I didn't see it. I took my eyes off the road for, like, two seconds to change the song on my iPod, and then this dog, it just came out of nowhere!" Allison says while crying. Kaleb, who is listening to Allison intently, immediately tries to calm her down to get more information. "It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. It's all right. Do you remember where it happened, so I can send Animal Control to find it?" Kaleb said to Allison.
"No! I mean, yes, I know where I hit it, but the dog is--" Allison said sobbing.
At Mikealson's
"Uncle Finn we have a problem!" Clary yelled to her uncle who was in the Kitchen. "Clary what is it i"m cooking." Finn yelled back then walked into the living room. Wanting to know what was going on. "Uncle Finn Scott was bit by a werewolf B." Alex told her uncle. Finn dropped his wooden spoon. He always thought of Scott like a son. "What." He looked at Emma and she looked down. "You guys have to tell Scott and Stiles your past. You can help him." Finn told the girls. They nodded then went to bed.
