Demi:

Demi hummed quietly to the soft strumming of Joe and his guitar as she began making dinner. Her mom had given her some recipes and cooking tips while she was in Texas a few months back, "You can't start a family without at least knowing how to make mac and cheese." She chuckled remembering the furious blush that that comment had caused. The truth was, Dianna seemed genuinely happy about her first grandchild, and she could see that Eddie was warming up to the idea. He was even demanding pictures of Demi's belly, which was finally starting to show her pregnancy, but she didn't mind because secretly she loved looking at her stomach in the mirror and thinking about the family she was creating. The ending of this story was looking happier once again. Demi jumped about two feet in the air when Joe was suddenly behind her humming and strumming his guitar. He softly sang the lyrics of one of her favorite songs to her, his hot breath warming her neck, prompting her to sing along. Demi turned around so that the two's noses were nearly touching and joined in with a simple harmony.

"No I won't let you go, now you know, I've been crazy for you all this time. I've kept it close, always hoping..." Joe leaned in and brushed his lips across hers, still playing the lovely plucking pattern. Demi kept her eyes closed as he pulled back and continued, "with a heart on fire, a heart on- HOLY SHIT FIRE!" Demi opened her eyes completely scared shitless at his shouting. She was so confused, "What do you..." Then she felt it. A burning sensation on her back, but not the good kind. She looked back and the stove had caught on her shirt, causing both her chicken and her to catch fire. Demi screamed and ran into the shower out of sheer instinct. While she soaked her whole, clothed body in water, she could hear Joe hitting the pan and the rest of the counter with a wet towel, trying to put out the fire that had become slightly out of control. Demi ran back in and looked at what had happened. The towel in Joe's hand was soaked, but incredibly burnt at the bottom, her chicken was black, and the whole kitchen had water everywhere. She looked at Joe, the water from her shower dripping into her eyes and onto the already wet kitchen floor. He looked back at her for a moment, then they burst out laughing. Laughing at each other, at the situation, at everything that had happened. And when their stomachs were sore and they couldn't laugh any longer, they smiled, because this was real life, but it seemed just like a fairytale.

Demi and Joe:

"Show me that belly!" Joe yelled jokingly as he snapped photos of Demi in their bedroom. He shouted instructions and kept jumping around the room and on the bed, attempting to impersonate a professional photographer, and causing Demi to burst into fits of giggles and smiles.

"Now give me a serious face... Uh huh, just like that, oh yeah work it girl!" She tried not to break her fake serious face, but it was so hard to keep from grinning with Joe acting like an idiot over there.

"Okay Mr. Photographer, I think that's enough."

"Fineee," Joe whined as he jutted his bottom lip out and pretended to pout. Demi smiled, jumped on top of him and wrapped her lips around his. Joe tickled her and she screamed and jumped up onto the bed. He tackled her and they wrestled until Demi ended up on top of Joe, inches away from his smiling lips.

"I win." Joe chuckled and pulled her into another kiss. He was gentle with her, he didn't want to take any chances with the baby, he would never forgive himself if he was the reason something went wrong. He laid her down on the bed, "I'm going to take a shower," he whispered sweetly, "would you like to join me?" He smiled that mischievous grin that Demi couldn't help but resist.

"I already took one shower tonight, remember?" She joked back. He snickered softly and picked her up, marriage style. "I don't think you can ever be too clean." With that, they both undressed and headed into the warm stream of water. Joe insisted on washing Demi's hair for her, much like Dallas did when they were young. Of course, Demi had to return the favor, and with the shampoo, she collected Joe's curls and formed spikes all of his head.

"Do I look hot?" Joe smirked when Demi was done. She couldn't stop giggling at his "hot" look enough to answer, so instead she kissed him full on the lips. Their wet bodies pressed up against each other, and water fell all around them like rain. Joe ran his hands up and down Demi's body, feeling every single curve of her physique and running his fingers down her perfectly rounded backside. In return, she ran her fingers down his chest, stopping at his abdomen and working her way down through the mazes that made his muscles. Demi arched her neck and Joe ran his tongue down her skin, as her hands moved further down his body. Just above his pelvis she stopped as her hands decided where they would go, Joe tensed up as prepared for what would happen next, but kept sucking on her shoulder and creating a dark love bite. But Demi only wrapped her hands around his waist, I'm such a tease, she thought to herself and smiled. "You're such a tease," Joe whispered as though he could read her mind. They pulled apart again and smiled at each other. "Conditioner time?" Joe laughed, then grabbed the conditioner bottle. "Who gets to go first?"

After their shower, Joe had made him and Demi some hot chocolate (with, of course, extra whipped cream for her), and they climbed into bed together to watch the ID Channel. Joe looked over after a while and he could see that Demi was beginning to doze off. He turned off the television and the light and snuggled up next to her, throwing his arm over her and enveloping her in his body heat. "Goodnight, I love you past every moon and star," he whispered to a supposedly sleeping Demi. She smiled secretly in the dark and responded to the phrase in her thoughts, I love you past Heaven and all the way back again. Then she closed her eyes and slept, dreaming of the amazing times she'd had the past few months, and in her mind there wasn't anything that could possibly ruin the great days she had ahead.
