Selena:

Selena just stared at her phone smiling, she couldn't believe what had happened, it was amazing! She and Demi, finally on good terms again... Well, basically. They would have lunch tomorrow, which was a huge step, and she was so happy that Demi had given her a chance. One chance, that was all she needed, one chance to make her life full again. She knew it probably wouldn't be the same, but who knows, maybe it could be better. As she got up to make herself a late dinner, she wanted so badly to call Demi again, though they had just got off the phone. Then she remembered that she had a new fiance waiting on her, and Selena didn't want to ruin that moment. She would have to wait until tomorrow, but that was just fine, as long as she had something to wati for at all.

Demi:

Demi woke up, engulfed in the warm and bare body of Joe. The love they had made that last night would be love she would never forget, full of passion and everything the two of them had. Joe squeezed Demi within his muscular arms, though when she looked up at him, his eyes were closed and his eyelids merely fluttered, she wondered what he was dreaming about. The morning light shone  through the sheer curtains covering the large french windows that opened up to a balcony, it was Demi's favorite place in the entire world, She often sat on that balcony alone, reading books or writing song lyrics she knew her management would probably never let her use. Before Joe had come back to her, she often sat on that balcony on a clear day, a day on which you could see the ocean because for some unknown reason the usual groggy city air had lightened, and she day-dreamed about what their life could be. She would picture them having coffee on this balcony in the morning before thier kids awoke, and sharing a bottle of champagne at night after a long week, then they would let the champagne get the best of them and would make love in this very bed. Now that was a real possibility, and she became so elated at that idea.

Joe:

Joe woke up with Demi in his arms, her smooth back was pressed against his chest and he could feel her heart beating in his arms which rested against her breasts. He could sense that she was awake, but how he didn't know. Apparently, she had the same feeling because she turned away from the windows to face him, a dreamy  look in her big, brown eyes and a content grin played across her lips. Joe smiled back at her, still able to feel her heart beat, now on his chest. They were one, the two of them. He brushed his chin against her cheek, causing her to giggle as he tickled her with his prickly stubble. He gently pressed his lips against he forehead and whispered, as not to disturb the peace they had created around them, "Good morning, beautiful."

Demi laughed slightly, "Morning, loser," she smirked in reply, causing Joe to smile. Of course she would say that in such a loving moment.

"Well then, if I'm such a loser I guess that means I can't make you breakfast!" Joe's smile turned mischievous, he knew she would give in now. As predicted, Demi gasped, and in mock desperation she begged him to forgive her for her "hurtful greeting". Joe couldn't stop laughing, so to reply, he jumped of the bed, pulled on some boxers, and picked Demi up, blankets and all, and walked giddily into the kitchen. There, they made a mess making Demi's famous pancakes, and gorged themselves on Joe's famous sausage. Most of all, they memories neither of them would forget, just by enjoying each other's presence, and the ring on Demi's finger meant that they would have so many good times to come.

Demi and Selena:

Demi was bent over in laughter as Selena attempted to stretch her tongue as far as she could and salvage the whipped cream that Demi had stuck on the bridge of her nose.

"You suck!" Demi choked out between her loud cackles. Selena couldn't stop giggling long enough to reply and the two were left together laughing until tears trickled out of their eyes and their stomachs were completely sore. It was like old times, they weren't worrying about anyone but each other, and nothing else mattered but their friendship. It was as if there was no one else in the world but the two of them. They sat together at their favorite diner close to the coast of beautiful California. If one listened closely, she could hear the soft crash of the waves in the distance, it was a far drive from downtown LA, but worth the trip, seeing as this place had the best milkshakes in all of California.

Finally Selena and Demi's laughter faltered out and they returned back to their shakes. Demi grabbed her phone and positioned it so that it faced Demi, "Smile Sel!" Obviously, this didn't actually mean smile, so Selena crossed her eyes and sucked her straw dramatically. Demi giggled and took a picture, posting it to twitter quickly. She knew that she would get a lot of hate for this, but it didn't matter.

Selena broke her train of thought and questioned, "What in the hell is Delena?" This sent both of the girls into another chorus of laughter, continuing the great mood of this lunch. Neither of the girls could be happier that they were learning to be friends again.

Selena:

Selena couldn't stop smiling as she walked back to her car, feeling the sand scrape against her bare feet. After lunch, her and Demi had driven down to the beach and walked all along the sand, talking about their lives and reminiscing on happy memories. At around 4, they decided to part ways seeing as Demi had to get home to Joe. Now Selena was driving back to her apartment, and looking at the immense rush hour traffic, she decided to go by the street for as long as she could. Her good mood couldn't be dampered though, she thought of all the new memories her and Demi could make together and involuntarily sped up in her excitement. She raced down the street, barely seeing anything but the road ahead of her. Suddenly there was a loud horn, and a skidding sound. She looked to her right to see a large truck barreling toward her.

She heard a faint crash and the world went dark.
